Joseph C. Warden, s/o Sampson Warden and Elizabeth Allen, was b.abt.1820 in PA., d.aft.1880 CRAW. He m.first Margaret Pensinger on Oct.20, 1854 CRAW., m.second Mary Jane Ross on Nov.24, 1868, in Marion, Marion Co., Ohio.

4-Catherine Warden, born 1863: m:Alexander C. Crawford. Her descendant, Ann
Chambers says this of Catherine -
Catherine left Ohio sometime before 1880. I have her marriage certificate to my grandfather Alexander C. Crawford dated 1880 in
Jay Co, Indiana. She names herself Katie Worden (hard to tell the A from an O). Later on they have a daughter, my mother Maud Clarice, and the name is
Catherine WArden..date 1884. Another source show her name as Kit Wooden. The birth records in Indiana show they may have had another daughter that I
believe died before my mother (Maud) was born. I sent for my mother's death certificate (Seattle, WA) and it records her mother as Catherine Warden from
Galion, Ohio. I do have a picture of her (Catherine) with Alexander and my mother, and a son born to his first
marriage. He (Alexander) remarried in 1893, and so Catherine died some time after 1884
and before 1893.
