Samson Warden and Jane Shay

Sampson Warden, s/o Benjamin Warden and _Ramage, was b.December 12, 1803, OHIO (Note: Information provided by Jody McCamis at mccamis@williams-net.com differs from some of that previously provided by Steven Peters. She lists Isabel Cunningham as being the wife of Benjamin Warden, and therefore the mother of Sapmson). Sampson married Jane Shay, d/o David Shay and Agness, about 1830 in Belmont Co., Ohio. The following children were born to this couple:

1-Nancy Ann Warden, born Crawford Co., Ohio, July 25, 1831, died November 14, 1876, Blanchard Twp., Putnam Co., Ohio, married Calvin B. Sherrard on May 01, 1853:

2-Benjamin C. Warden, born Crawford Co., Ohio, August 1, 1834, died July 11, 1915 (Gilboa, Blanchard Twp., Putnam Co., Ohio), married Amanda Wagner (1838 - 1878) on December 10, 1854; married second to Amanda M. Carter on September 08, 1881, and married third to Clarissa Van Buskirk (born 1838) on January 18, 1883.

3-David Shay Warden, born Crawford Co., Ohio, November 6, 1836, died Blanchard Twp., Putnam Co., Ohio, on March 23, 1904. He married in 1859 to Sarah A. Nutter (born 1842):

4-Mary C. Warden, born about 1840:

5-Isabella Warden, born about 1846, married Stephen Nash on January 27, 1855:

6-James Warden, born about 1850, married in 1870 to Mary J:
