PARKE COUNTY INDIANA CEMETERIES
Some of the records included are from cemetery books, we start with them and locate the cemeteries to verify as much as possible and update the lists.. We are finding mistakes in some of the original transcriptions but I put them up rather than wait until we could check each one out... If you find a mistake please feel free to email me so I can correct it... PLEASE understand that some of these records are 2nd and 3rd hand down thru the years, some of the stones are so worn they can not be verified... We are walking the cemeteries and verifying the information as we have time..

THANKS to all those that took the time over the years to walk these cemeteries and preserve this history. Time and the elements have taken their toll on a lot of the stones and without past records this information would all be lost to us and future generations ... and these people don't deserve to be lost or forgotten. Buried in these cemeteries are the people that helped make this country what it is, they worked hard and fought for their right to make a life, raise a family and live in a free country, some giving up that life to keep our country free. Our ancestors of many nationalities and different walks of life, some with riches and some with nothing more that the clothes on their back, some with knowledge and some that could neither read or write... came to AMERICA.. to join together to make the UNITED STATES...so to them we owe the biggest THANKS...and the best way we can do that is to show respect for their final resting places and to help keep this country safe and free for our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the generations to follow..
