Peace, Be Still

A violent storm brewed
As the disciples did sail
The rain fell in torrents
The wind's force was gale.


They awakened the Lord 
For in fear they cried out
And Jesus arouse
And said "Why do you doubt?"


Peace be still and know who I am
Through me all things can be done
Don't turn away, don't try to hide
The Father and I are One.


The storms of your life
By my will shall fail
The waves may roll on
But they cannot prevail.


As Jesus calmed the water
So does He calm my fear
He is the source of comfort
When darkness does draw near


Yet as the disciples did
So do I doubt
And from the storm
In my heart I cry out.


And Jesus replied,
