Broken Trust

What right do they have
To be so cruel
To take away the rights
Of a child?
A little one who needs 
More than love;
Who deserves more
Than to be hurt;
Whose trust is broken
By fear and pain.
Why did they think
They had the right
To destroy an innocent life?
