Ballad of Johnny Kane

"Don't be afraid to fight the war," 
Said Johnny Kane's mother to him,
"we need to have a lot of peace 
So don't be afraid to fight."

And Johnny Kane died on October one
In a battle field in Northern France
Johnny Kane's mother cried for her son
When he died in a war against peace.

Johnny Kane lived for 18 years
Writing his stories of peace
When he was drafted, his eyes filled with tears
When he stood for may never be.

Johnny Kane made a very fine soldier
But his heart wasnt never there.
He knew deep inside he would never get older
And peace would not ever be.

Johnny Kane died in a war against peace
A war completely against him
His mother told him to always love peace
And never be afraid to fight war.
