        This Photograph was taken in the 1920s by my grandfather when he and my grandmother were on their honeymoon.

        There must have been a museum or something there with a model of the lighthouse above the door.

        Portland, Maine 1791

        Portland Head light was commissioned by George Washington in 1791, and is the oldest light house in Maine.
        This is the lighthouse where Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote his famous poem "The Lighthouse".
