Junior had an outstanding year on his way to a 3rd place finish at state. With the exception of state, Junior won every tournament he entered and carried a 35-0 record into the state semi-finals. His 37 wins this year tie him with Josh Corriell for the most ever in one season for the Bears. Juniors career record now stands at 93-21. He came within 1 point of making it to the state finals, which should give him enough incentive to come back even stronger next year. Only one other Bears wrestler has ever won 4 medals at the state tournament (Travis Knutson 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 5th). Junior has three in his pocket now (3rd, 7th, 8th) and will be going for number 4 next year.

Ryan enjoyed a good week of wrestling with 2 pins in two league duals. He started the week with a third round pin against East Valley and finished it with a 1st round pin against Toppenish. Ryan is currently the #7 ranked wrestler in a tough CWAC 160 weightclass. He has won 15 matches this year, 9 by pin. Ryan saves his best wrestling for the post-season and he could advance far into the tournaments this year.

Frankie has been a big asset to the Bears team this year. In his only season of highschool wrestling, Frankie has been impressive. He started the week with a 1st round pin against Connell and then gave an impressive showing against the #2 ranked CWAC wrestler from Othello. Frankie lost that match 16-12 but showed that he can wrestle with the big boys in the CWAC.

Justin seems to be peaking at just the right time. His domination of the CWAC's #1 171 pounder at the Newport Invite shows that Justin has the potential to make it to state. And not just make it, but medal. Justin is currently 20-5 on the year and will be a feared wrestler in the post-season. He is also among the best in the history of Ki-Be wrestling at pinning his opponents.

Travis is an up and coming wrestler who should be exciting to watch in the years to come. At the Sunnyside JV Tournament, Travis recorded 3 wins all by pin. Travis is 7-4 with 6 pins on the season. He also recorded a pin in his first varsity dual action this year against Naches.

In his freshman year Tony recorded 17 pins and 21 victories. An injury kept him off the mat in his sophomore year. At the Royal Christmas Invite, Tony showed that the lost mat time isn't going to hold him back this year. He defeated Ross Jones of Warden 6-5 to take 4th place. All Ross Jones did last year was place 3rd (A/B) at the state tournament. Look for Tony to surprise a few people this post-season.

The Bears have been extremely happy that Ross' parents decided to make Benton City their home last season. Ross has set his sites on a trip to state and could bring home a medal if he continues to wrestle as he did at the Hanford Invite. Ross recorded 3 pins, including a third round pin in the championship final at Hanford. He also avenged an early season loss to Hanfords heavy weight, 3-0, in the semifinals.

Junior started the week off with a dual meet victory against Naches. He finished the week 7-0 with a 6 win effort at the Best of the West Tournament. He currently has a string of 13 straight wins and is 12-0 on the season. After placing 8th and 7th the past two seasons at state, Junior is looking to move up in the medal standings this year.

Brandon started the season off with a 32 second pin against Hanford. He then ripped through the competition at the Connell Invite with 3 pins and a tech fall on his way to the title.  Brandon is currently 5-0 with 4 pins and looks focused on his goal of becoming a state champion. As coach Rich Cunningham said, "Brandon looks like a man among boys".
