Though Troy Cunningham won his third title of the year in dominating fashion, the highlight of this tournament was the way Andy Campbell wrestled. Campbell has worked hard to learn and improve this year and it showed in this tournament. Andy was able to put scoring moves together in his matches and came within seconds of taking 4th place at a tough Royal Christmas Tourney. He is showing ability to place his opponent on his back at any stage of the match. He should be fun to watch the rest of the year.

Cunningham recorded 2 pins, defeated Derek Stelter of Othello, 4-1, in a match that he dominated from start to finish. He then took apart Sammy Salcedo of Granger 8-0 in the title match.

Johanns lost his first match and then wrestled like a caged animal the rest of the tournament to place 4th.

Hagins nearly defeated Returning State Champ Brett Stigall of Newport in the quarterfinal match, losing 11-9.

Sam Landoe and Britt Samsel wrestled tough and gained more valuable experience. Both continue to improve.
