STATE RESULTS: The girls had a tough first day of competition as they wound up in a three way tie with Granite Falls and Ridgefield at 1-2. They defeated both teams in a playoff to advance to the championship round. They opened up the championship round with a game 1 win over Lynden Christian, but lost games 2 and 3 to drop to the consolation bracket. They easily defeated Chelan and then gained some revenge by beating Eatonville. Eatonville had won the pool play on day one by defeating the Bears. Meridian then dropped the Bears to 4th wth a 12-15, 16-14, 10-15 victory. Click HERE for full results from the WIAA.

Grandview (27-1) avenged its only loss of the year by defeating Kiona-Benton 8-15, 18-16, 15-2 in the CWAC district championship match. McKenzie Burgess led Ki-Be with 38 kills, 21 blocks and 20 digs. Tishina Dunlap added 20 kills and 39 digs, and Denise Hall had 22 digs. Ki-Be defeated Omak 15-7,15-8 and Ephrata 15-11, 12-15, 15-7 to reach the championship match.

The Bears head into the post-season with a winning streak of 19 games. During the streak they have won 48 of 53 sets. The team also ends the regular season with a streak of 19 straight league victories since a 1998 loss to Grandview. The Bears finished 2nd last year at State and will be looking to improve that by one position this time.
