Beanies such as the green Quackers shown above have been marketed as prototypes, or original,pre-release versions of ty Beanie Babies. However, these are NOT prototypes. They are counterfeits. Green Quackers has been found mostly in Canada. It has no swing tag, and the tush tag has light orange printing instead of the deep red of genuine Ty. It also does not have a Canadian tush tag. There is also a cream colored cat circulating that is thoroughly mistagged; both its tush and swing tags say "Nanook." If this was a prototype of Nip or Prance, why would it have Nanook tags? He has virtually no pellets in him, his whiskers are just white sewing thread, and his nose looks like a clear pink jelly bean.
