Ben's Dream by Chris Van Allsburg
Teach kids how to develop research skills using a picture book titled Ben's Dream. Chris Van Allsburg has written a wonderful book that shows pictures of famous landmarks through an interesting perspective. He does not mention the names of the landmarks. The book is terrific for research activities.

Scavenger Hunt
Show students the thrill of learning using a scavenger hunt game based on the Civil War. Students will be given clues to verify information about generals, battle sites, interesting facts and Civil War causes. Students love hunting for the information and have so much fun they don't even realize how hard they are working!

Super Sleuth
Discover the research game called Super Sleuth . It motivates students to learn research skills by giving a daily clue to add up to an answer at the end of the week. You'll be amazed at the amount of student participation and enthusiasm.
