Evaluation of Napoleon's Impact and his Policies

Napoleon had both positive and negative effects on the world
Through his conquest of countries, he spread nationalism
Although his actions were viewed as negative by the countries surrounding France, in the end those countries developed better then they would have without French rule
His domination of Europe brought other countries together, and boosted nationalism
The Napoleonic code is still in use today in countries around the world
France still uses a very similar education system, as the one Napoleon introduced
United Germany, which later led to WWI
He dissolved the Holy Roman Empire
Continental system was not as effictive as planned
Napoleon gave equality before the law to all male citizens
