- Napoleon Introduced Bank of France
- Napoleon Successfully implemented progressive taxation
- Increased wealth of France
- Napoleon signed concordat with church
- Concordat recognized Catholicism as the major religion in France, but also recognized the Protestant religion; later (1808) decree passed that tolerated the Jewish religion
- Introduced Napoleonic Code: gave male french citizens equality before the law
- Education laws of 1802 introduced lycees , which were more or less high schools
- Established legion of honour - this rewarded exceptional service to the Republic
- Extensiven poublic works: bridges built, roads paved, sewer system rebuilt, and Arc de Tripmphe
- Public works improved transportation and communication in France
- Continental system was an economic blockade against Britain which almost all of Europe participated in
- Reformed Europe bu engaging in multiple wars against other European powers
