DICK KOPLITZ PILOT DEN I am sorry I didn't give you enough information with the photos. M.E. O'Neil is Ed O'Neil, he was chief pilot and VP of operations. All these people except Ed O'Neil were dispatchers and pilots. Thanks, -Al Kendell (Sent photo of Dick) (2/18/00) It's nice to see all of the Frontier memories preserved. I grew up as a Frontier kid, worked at the new Frontier for a bit, and am trying to get back there as a pilot very soon. Dick was my dad. He died February 2nd, 1992 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Denver, and is buried in Fairmount Cemetery. His third and last wife, Udine is in a nursing home in Littleton. His first wife and my mother is very well, living in Littleton also. My oldest brother Rick lives in Littleton with his wife and two kids. My other brother Ken lives in Parker with his wife and family. I am living in Northern Virginia for now, flying for Colgan Air, a US Airways Express carrier, and hoping to get back to Denver soon. I believe My dad joined Challenger in 1947, was in the first class of 737s later, retired Captain, number 12 in seniority in June 1976. He was always a DEN based Captain, don't know his exact hire date, but his seniority was 247 (second quarter of 1947), and his birthday was June 13,1916. Born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, learned to fly from Steve Wittman. He used to fly home to visit in his P-38 or his Staggerwing Beech. Suppose this is already way too much info for you. Let me know if you'd like anything else. Glad to see someone is keeping all the memories alive. Peace -Rob Koplitz (1-17-02) RICHARD G KOPLITZ Born 13 Jun 1916 Died Feb 1992 Age 75 SSN issued in Wisconsin -SSDI (2/10/03) Hello to all the FLamily, Wanted everyone to know I'm one step closer to returning to the Frontier life. I upgraded to Captain on the Saab 340 at Colgan Air, a US Airways Express carrier. In case you don't know, my dad was Dick Koplitz, Denver Captain from 1947 to '76, retired number 12. I worked for the new Frontier for a short while in '99 before getting my first flying job. I hope to be able to get back to home to Frontier soon. Best wishes to all, -Rob Koplitz (7/10/03) Some of you remember me, Captain Dick Koplitz's youngest son. I've been flying for Colgan Air, a Saab 340 commuter operating as US Airways Express, United Express and Continental Connection, for the last 5-1/2 years. I made Check Airman last year and have enjoyed handing out punishment in the airplane and sim. (just kidding!) I have been trying to land a job at the new Frontier with no luck, but I was just hired by North American Airlines to fly 757/767s international out of JFK. You can only imagine how excited I am to start class next week! -Rob Koplitz (4/19/06) R G Koplitz has a seniority date of 5/8/47 on the 9/1/72 FL/ALPA seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (4/19/06)
