Agent in STL killed in car crash early 70s

Note spelling of last name.  Ed was killed in a head on auto collision on his way to work sometime in the early 70s.  
that’s all I remember.  He worked ops with me at time.  He was a serious worker.  He was single.
Can Jerry or Jim add details?

Thanks for the correction on Ed's last name.
I remember him from my 1968-70 stint in STL.
I cannot find him in the Social security Death Index.
When did he start with FL?  Any other info?

Ed was not killed in that auto accident.
His mother was killed and Ed had serious brain damage.
He lived for many years with his father in Wentzville,but do not know his time of death.

Yeah, Ed was about 5 yrs. younger than I so that fits.  
Jim has better memory than I, sorry I gave wrong info first time.
