Sharay, Goddess of Death and Destruction. Scrouge Goddess 

Evil Sharay once walked the world of Pria as a mortal. She schooled 
herself in the mystic arts and believed herself to be superior to the 
Lady Magic, Goddess of Magic. As an abandoned child, Sharay was forced 
to live by her wits and her abilities. It meant that she always viewed 
the world in terms of what was good for her personally. 

As she got older, she believed herself to be more beautiful, and ever 
so much wiser than the Lady Magic, so she began a campaign to assume 
Magic's godhood. She began to attack the Mystic Shadows Inn, the small
refuge that Magic had created. Sharay was never sure why the gods 
allowed her to have such a place at all. She believed it showed
weakness to help the mortal beings on Pria, so she was going to point 
this out to the pantheon and prove she was better than Lady Magic. 

Over several months, Sharay waged a battle against the Inn and 
Lady Magic herself. She destroyed villages in the area, created 
vampire rabbits and vampire tuatha. Both problems still exist today 
in the Forest of Shadows. She even captured the Lord Cosmic for daring
to interfer with what she saw as her duty to the world of Pria. 

Perhaps the saddest of all, was Sharay's falling in love with 
Sir Azrei. Seeing herself as far more beautiful than the Lady Magic, 
Sharay kidnapped Azrei and spent many days trying to convince him that
she loved him and that he would do better seated at her side. 

Azrei however truly loved his Lady Magic, and nothing could have made 
him unfaithful to her, not even death. When faced with having to carry 
out her threats to Azrei's life, she found she could not do it. 
Somehow she had genuinely fallen in love with Sir Azrei and his
noble spirit, and so she simply released him. 

Broken hearted, she increased her attacks against the Lady Magic, 
even attempting to destroy Mystic Shadows Inn itself. Unfortunately 
these attacks resulted in a very different effect than what Sharay wanted. 

First, Lady Magic was not destroyed, rather simply forced to choose 
and she now stands on the side of the righteous. Because of this 
shift creating an imbalance in the pantheon, Sharay herself was raised
to godhood as the Goddess of Death and Destruction, the last
God of the Dead seeking to move on to other worlds rather than stay 
here with Sharay. 

Today she and Lady Magic still have their problems, although most 
confrontations come between Sharay's high priestess and evil minions, 
such as the Gog. For Sharay, she still pines for Sir Azrei, and it is 
said she created a simulcrum of him to always remind herself of
what Lady Magic had taken from her. 

No good can come of this.
