Women Only

One is not born a woman,
One becomes one.
-Simone de Beauvoir

Throughout my homepage I have given you some information about me.. My likes and dislikes, my family, my hobbies, my fight with a sexually transmitted disease. But, the topic that I haven't covered is, being a woman. The last year has been a time of many changes for me. I lost alot of weight, about 40lbs. I also discovered Wicca. I found it very empowering. It made me start looking at my life and ways I could change the things I didn't like. This section isn't about Wicca. I have another section for that. This section is about being a woman and loving yourself. During my period of self discovery, I realized that I was emotionally dependant on the people around me, mostly my hubby. I also realized I had low self-esteem and self-image. I was one unhappy woman. But with the help of books and the love and support of my darling hubby, I changed all that. You can't go through life hating yourself. In the last year I learned to stand up for the things I believe in, to love myself, and to be more open in my marriage. If there is something going on I don't like you can be damn sure you will hear about it..~L~I also stopped pretending to be someone I'm not and to be proud of who I am and the things I've accomplished. I am woman, hear me roar!! ~LOL~ (Gosh, I've always wanted to say that!)

Love is the great miracle cure.
Loving ourselves works miracles in our lives
-Louise Hay

This was something that I found that helped me alot. When I first read it , I didn't believe in any of these things.. I hope it helps you as well..
