Hel

Also Hella. Daughter of Loki and the frost giantess Angrboda. She is the sister of Fenrir (Fenris-wolf) and Jormungand (Midgard serpent). She is the goddess of the underworld, and as such her powers are greater than those of Odin, for she would not allow Baldr to return to life. Her realm was Helheim and her hall, Elvidnir [misery]. Hel is sometimes described as half white and half black. She had the face and body of a living woman, but her thighs and legs were those of a corpse. Hel's throne was known as the "Sick-bed" and her subjects were all who died through sickness and old-age. In norse culture it was much preferable to die in battle and go to Valhalla. Christianity assimilated the basic concept and name of Hel's kingdom for its own afterlife for unrepentant souls.

In Uberheim, Hella is an Ascended Goddess and Eternal.  She is  known as Countess Hella, ruler of the realm of Helheim, and former Queen of Uberheim.
