Further Commentary on the War
To all my fellow members of this Glorious Kingdom called Uberheim, I salute you! Today, we not only defeated the enemy across the field, but the one inside the Kingdom as well. We set aside our oggles, we set aside our differences, and we fought honorably as a single entity. I do believe our hearts and desire pulled us through to victory this day. Not only did we represent our King and Kingdom so well with our swords, but also with our actions. Every member of this Kingdom held themselves to a higher standard today and it showed in our shining presentation. Our "non-fighters" (for lack of a better term) showed in force to support our fighters not only with morale, but with the TLC we desperately needed on this Uber-scorcher of a day (Special thanks to the Water-bearers and Medics). We should all be proud of the showing we made today and let it inspire us to work even harder (as I'm sure our challengers will be) to make an even more Glorious presence on the field next year!
In addition, I would like to congratulate Master Master Sir Dankwert on his Knighting, Stellarex on his Apprenticeship, and Mime on his Squiring. I know you all will serve this Kingdom with great honor.
:o)
Valkyrie Sir Rossweisse
Unto the most glorious Kingdom of Uberheim do I share some tales from the war. From the three skulls side, I very much enjoyed meetingt Slut Puppy several times throughout the day in different forms and on different battles. He fought well and fought most honorably and look foward to meeting him again on the field of combat. Where ever I went, it seemed that either he or Squadboy wasn't far away and giving me some sort of trouble. Both of these men are ones to watch out for!!! I am quite certain that there were many others, but I can only tell tales of what I have seen.
From Uberheim's side, I saw Groc consistantly stymie their flankers. Later in the day, he fought as a flanker himself and caused all sorts of havoc in the three skulls back field. On one occasion, he drew 5 fighters to him, and held them off for quite a long time.
Richter was a huge troublemaker, flanking and then running around the protection to attack the three skull lines from behind, his efforts in the first field battle likely set a major tone for the war and kept House Three Skulls reeling. Volker's speed caused disorietation and distractions in the backfield. His ability to torture those whom he wishes to torture served him well. Also a big vivat to him for having that speed which enabled him to run all the way up the right flank, across the back field and surprise (the former Odin 1,) and Turk while they were double engaging me.
To Fasolt, who although was reletivly new with a spear was called, "Greased Lightning" by one Three Skulls Fighter. Who also successfully fended off many attackers.
To the Flank protectors, especially those of the Legion who successfully kept their spearman alive long enough to rip holes throughout the Three Skulls line.
Again, I can only tell tales of what i know and saw....but Richter is right, they will return next year, better prepared...as should we. The fighter practices should continue, the work is not done. May the waters of the Rhine cool you all after a far well fought. I thank you all for furthering my dream. A special thanks to House three skulls for tremendous honor upon the field. Thank you to those who marshalled, bore water, did work as chiurgeon, cheered and offered moral support to anyone!
And a very special thanks unto the Three Skull chiurgeons and water bearers who showed no prejudice and much generousity!!!!!
In Closing, a very special thank you to my Lady Katarina who was there for me at every breath.
His Eminancy Master Master Sir Dankwert der Verraterisch, the bear slayer!
Our fighters fought with great strength and vallor, Vivats to them. However, THere are those people who did not fight but without the war would have been lost to a day of heat exastion. To the Water barers, and to the Chiergions, and to all who helped the fighters in any whay they could, Vivats to them as well. The fighters may have fought the war, but the rest of you made the war, and helped our fighters in a way that is indeed Noble and worth mentioning. I thank you, as do (I am sure) the fighters who did not pass out!
