King Siegfried speaks:
Ah, a Golden Apple!
Lady Saga
Indeed.
Odinn speaks:
Someone raided my garden!
The crowd laughs
Lady Saga:
No, no, my sister Idunn is quite generous.
King Siegfried
Quite sturdy Lady Saga!
Lady Saga:
There are enough for all, so everyone please take one after court.
The crowd applauds
Heimdall:
For Lady Saga, three Vivats!
The crowd cheers Lady Saga
She exits
Heimdall
The next order of business.
He approaches the Throne
Heimdall:
Your Majesties. I have undertaken a quest on my own time, to travel across the Rhine and visit the lands of the Visigoths and others. I did come across some interesting men growing vines with berries on them. And what they do is they take them and ferment them and form a most interesting drink which they call Reisling.
He presents a bottle to the King
Heimdall:
For you, I have brought this.
The King laughs
King Siegfried:
For the God Heimdall, Vivat!
The crowd cheers Heimdall
King Siegfried:
Spaceage!
Heimdall:
Next, the court would like to call Lord Vidar, the Silent One.
Lord Vidar approaches and is acknowledged by the court.
Heimdall:
[Lord] Vidar, you have fought well today. For your prowess in battle, I will grant you something. From my own land of Burgundy, where there are some other men who grow vines with berries on them, and ferment them to make a different colored drink. For you, Beaujolais Noveau.
He presents a bottle to Lord Vidar
King Siegfried
For good [Lord] Vidar's sturdy oggle sometime in the future, Vivat!
The crowd cheers Lord Vidar
He exits
Heimdall:
The court would like to call Thor, God of Thunder.
Thor approaches and is greeted by the King
Heimdall:
Thor. Congratulations. You fought well. And for your fighting merit, I have found something; one of the only, few things in the entire world that will actually match your hair.
He presents a box to Thor
Heimdall:
Inside this box... are the most tasty treats. Truffles, the Golden Ubersnacks!
All cheer Vivat for Golden Ubersnacks!
Thor exits.
Heimdall:
And for the last presentation of the day, the court would like to call the Druid.
The Druid enters and is recognized by the court
Heimdall:
For your proving of your sturdiness today at the Battle Royale, you have proven that you have the strength, the power, the fortitude, the constitution, the muscle. And for this, I grant upon you this.
Heimdall holds up a glistening stone.
Heimdall:
You will see that this stone glistens with the colors of the rainbow. This is not a stone, it is actually a piece of the bridge Bifrost. Now, when the bridge is in danger, when Asgard is in danger, the stone will glow. And it will create an opening, so that you will be able to come to Bifrost and help me defend Asgard. You have show that you are worthy. So, I lay upon you this, and I hope, that when I call, if I ever actually have to call, you will come.
The Driud gives his assent
Heimdall:
For the Druid, three Vivats!
The crowd cheers the Druid
He exits
Heimdall
The court would like to recall the Druid!
He returns, amid jests from the crowd
King Siegfried rises, and plants the great sword Balmung in the ground before him.
The King
speaks:
For your sturdiness upon the battlefield, for your dedication to this great Kingdom, and for your express interest as you have just spoken of to me, and in the past. I offered, and you had accepted. Rise. I grant upon thee squirehood, under my knighthood as King.
His Majesty belts the Druid
You will wear the red belt proudly, and let others know, that if they issues with this squire, they have issues with me.
The King produces a silver chain
The silver chain. You can see there is no end to it. Nor shall there be an end to your service to the King and to the Kingdom.
In addition, you were told of a household I have been forming, called the Order of Andvaranaut, the Order of the Ring, essentially the King's guard of this Kingdom. It not going to be an easy order to be a member of, nor to sustain. There will be many trials, many drills, many invancements in rank, forthwith. You had expressed yuor interest in joining that as well. I have seen your sturdiness, and I would be proud to have you as a member of my household.
King Siegfried places the chain of the Order of Andvaranaut
around the Druids neck. The Druid swears his oath upon Balmung.
King Siegfried:
Rise, and be recognized as the King's first squire, and the newest and first member of the Order of the Ring of Andvaranaut
.
The crowd cheers the Druid.
He exits.
Heimdall:
The court would like to call Rossweise
Rossweise approaches and is recognized by the court.
King Siegfried:
Upon your sturdiness to the Kingdom, your dedication to maintaining and upholding the spirit of Uberheim, your prowess as a great warrior on the list field, and as a great soul in the realm. Your deeds have not gone unnoticed. As I had expressed to you many weeks earlier, and as you had accepted, I now call you forth to rise and be recognized as a squire of the King's Guard, and let all ladies and gentlemen know, that any issues they may have with my squire, go directly to me.
The King bestows the silver chain upon Rossweise
King Siegfried:
The silver chain. Notice that it has no end, nor shall end you dedication and service to this great realm and to the Kingdom.
Lady Rossweise, I must first ask you this because you have not yet given me your answer. Do you wish to become a member of my Royal Guard?
Rossweise:
Yes, your Majesty
King Siegfried:
Then recieve this gold chain with the bronze ring, and let it be known to all ladies and gentles that Lady Rossweise is now a member of the King's Household and the Royal Order of Andvaranaut.
The crowd cheers Rossweise.
Heimdall:
Be there any more business before the court?
Very well, then this shall close the Yule court of King Siegfried and Queen Hella.
Odinn:
Three Vivats for the King and Queen!
The crowd cheers the King and Queen
