The resident snob of Sunnydale High, Cordelia Chase
(Charisma Carpenter) is so up on fashion and the most popular
girl in school. Winning the title of May Queen and her spot on
the Cheerleading squad, she is the classic popular girl stereotype.
Surrounded by people, who she claims, wants only to be in the
popular zone. Her dating experiences have been quite huge. She’s
been a groupie to lots of band guys and cheerleader on every
football player’s arm. Cordy is the "Slayer of Dating".
When Buffy first came to SHS, Cordelia took it upon her to
tease and ridicule Buffy with the common name of Freak. The two
became opponents. Although, Buffy constantly saved Cordy from
monsters all the time. Especially from the invisible girl, who
had a grudge against Cordy. Cordy and Xander always fought with
each other too. Willow and Xander never liked Cordelia and even
had a club for Cordelia haters. (She was that bad.)
Who says people can’t change thou? After Cordelia found out
about Buffy being the Slayer, Cordy became part of their "Undead
Play Group". Xander and her fought more than usual. Who would have
lot that was all four play?
Later in the second season, Xander and Cordelia would escape to a
nearby janitor closet for making out. And, at night, in Cordy’s
car. Cordelia never wanted to the school to know she was dating
Xander. The trauma on her popularity would be great. Finally,
people started to catch on.
There is more to Cordelia than she likes to lead on.
She’s pretty smart and very sensitive. She gets mad or upset
when Xander is raving about Willow or fantasizing about Buffy.
This proves that anyone she cares about can break her heart,
even Xander.
Cordelia Chase is one of the newest Slayrettes. :)
