Jar Cakes - Finally ( Sorry Gang)

      Banana Bread
      ? 2/3 cup shortening
      ? 2 2/3 cups sugar
      ? 4 eggs
      ? 2 cups mashed bananas
      ? 2/3 cup water
      ? 3 1/3 cups all purpose flour
      ? ½ teaspoon baking powder
      ? 2 teaspoons baking soda
      ? 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
      ? 1 teaspoons ground cloves
      ? 1 ½ teaspoons salt


      Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in the eggs, bananas, and water.
      In a separate bowl blend the dry ingredients
      Mix the dry ingredients into the banana mixture
      Place 240 grams in each jar and bake @ 325 for 45 minutes
      Yield - 8 jars

      Cocoa Cinnamon Bread
      ? 2 1/3 cup flour
      ? 2 cup sugar
      ? 2/3 cup cocoa
      ? 2 teaspoon baking powder
      ? 2 tsp baking soda
      ? 2 tsp salt
      ? 2 tsp cinnamon
      ? 3 cup applesauce
      ? 4 eggs


      Combine the dry ingredients. Stir in the wet ingredients gently- do not over mix!
      Place 230 grams in each jar and bake @ 325 for 45 mintues
      Yield - 7 jars

      Gingerbread in a jar


      2 1/4 cups Flour -- all purpose
      3/4 cup Sugar
      1 teaspoon Baking soda
      1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
      1/4 teaspoon Salt
      2 teaspoons Ginger
      1 teaspoon Cinnamon
      1/2 teaspoon Cloves
      3/4 cup Margarine - softened
      3/4 cup Water
      1/2 cup Molasses

      Blend all dry ingredients. Mix in butter, water and molasses.
      Yield - 4 jars

      Spicy Applesauce Bread
      ? 2 eggs
      ? 2 cups applesauce
      ? 8 tablespoons butter
      ? 1 cup granulated sugar
      ? ½ cup packed brown sugar
      ? 4 cups all purpose flour
      ? 4 teaspoons baking powder
      ? 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
      ? 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
      ? 3 teaspoons ground nutmeg
      ? 2 teaspoons ground cloves


      Beat eggs slightly. Stir in the applesauce, butter ( melted) , sugar and brown sugar. Stir until well combined
      In a separate bowl blend the dry ingredients
      Mix the dry ingredients into the egg mixture
      Place 230 grams in each jar and bake @ 325 for 45 mintues
      Yield - 7 jars
