FALL 1998

  • 12:30-2:30 p.m. September 9th (Wednesday): Behind the Clinton Scandal an Online Chat Session (hosted by the Law Society) -You can join the discussion by entering our Chat Central Xpress.

  • Time TBA September 18th or 19th (Friday or Saturday): Law School Forum Trip (co-sponsored by the Law Society and Brooklyn College) -Students of Brooklyn College are invited to attend this trip to the annual Law School Forum where students can meet representatives from law schools across the country

  • 12:30-2:00 P.M. October 13th: New York Law School Information Sessions -Prospective law students can attend sessions to get to know the campus and NYLS starting this date. For more info about sessions throughout this semester email NYLS Admissions Office or call (212)431-28888.

  • 12:00 P.M. October 26th: Prelaw Workshop -Get your questions about law school, legal careers, applying for law school, etc. answered by Brooklyn College's prelaw advisor. It will be held ar 2401 James Hall (Brooklyn College). For more info contact the Career Services Dept.

  • Time TBA October 28th: Domestic Violence Workshop -Have you been a victim of domestic violence or want to know how to deal with it? It will be held at the Student Center. Contact the Multicultural Office of Brooklyn College for details.

  • Time TBA October-December: Brooklyn Law School Workshops, Visit Programs & Video Presentations
    Workshops: Beginning October 13th from 6-7:30 p.m. the admissions office explores the Law School Admissions process.
    Meet Me In Brooklyn Campus Visitation Program: Beginning October 20th Time TBA this program includes an admissions workshop, financial aid workshop, video tape presentation, attend a law school class and a tour of the main campus.
    Video & Visit Presentations: On Tuesdays (11a.m.-1p.m.) and Thursdays (3p.m.-5:00p.m.)beginning in December and continuing to the end of July!
    All of the above programs require advance registration! Please call the Admissions Office at (718)780-7906 for further details.

  • 12-2 p.m. November 18th: WELFARE TO WORKFARE DEBATE ~hosted by the Academic Affairs Committee of Brooklyn College's Student Government. It will be held at 3414 James Hall. For more information call 951-5524 ask for Andree Tenemas, Wandi Chen or Allison Farrington.

  • Time TBA March TBA: Third Annual Women in Law Symposium (hosted by the Law Society in collaboration with the Women's Month Celebration at Brooklyn College) -All are welcome to hear fascinating experiences from female attorneys, public advocates and judges.

  • Time TBA April TBA: Law Week (hosted by the Law Society) -For an entire week we will provide information about legal issues, areas of law and bring awareness that without law there is no justice.
