Although the foregoing is obviously copied from a Bible, it seems probable that there are additions made to the original record. The deaths at the end have been repeated following the entry of the birth of the individual concerned. The names of the daughter's husbands seem also to have been supplied. It is possible that this Bible was owned by the Rev. Elika Adams Taylor ( 1811-1902 ) of Sweetwater, Tenn.

James and Ann Owen Taylor were residents of Cumberland County, VA. In 1761. By 1764 they were living in that part of Pittsylvania County which became Henry County in 1776. In Sept.1797, James Taylor sold his land in Henry County and moved to Grainger County, Tenn. Where he left a will dated 15 Oct 1813.

The pension application of Daniel Taylor (1761-1834) states that he married Jane Rowland, daughter of George and Ann Rowland in Henry County in the summer of 1780.
