Thanks for the Taylor Bible information; that Charity is the daughter of James TAYLOR and Ann OWEN (Anne Nancy Owen) is what I had. Glad to know Charity's siblings ;this was new information. Charity TAYLOR May is listed in TENNESSEE COUSINS, p 574 under the heading Lincoln Co TN. This volume under ANCESTOR CHART OF THE LINCOLN COUNTY TAYLORS, shows James TAYLOR, b. ab 1730 as the son of Capt.Edmund TAYLOR (Pittsylvania Co VA, b. 1690, who was the son of JAMES TAYLOR OF CAROLINE (1618-1698).

However, some researchers had previously reported the parents of James TAYLOR, b ab 1730 (father of Charity) to be William TAYLOR and Mary HUGHES. This information is repeated on your website. Can anyone clear up this confusion for me?

Also, I have been trying to locate the letters of Charity TAYLOR May. I would love to have copies of these.

Thanks for the TAYLOR site.
