CFs past:
I was at a page called the Zelda Headquarters (www.zhq.com) and saw this
beautiful picuture of a bunch of crystal's, at the same time I was thinking
of Sailor Moon and the SM BB RP that I was in (which fell apart with P*) and
I thought, "Wow, that'd be neat if I could do a story or something with
those crystals.." I had also been thinking of this story to do with
these people in the theme song/movie of Urusai Yatsura, hard to describe
I dunno who they were, I don't watch that, I was researching different
anime.  But, they were all doing their poses and yet it was obvious they
were a team.  So I started thinking and thinking and I ended up with
something like this... (also shown as the prologue of CF#1:  "Beginings" 

A long time ago all the factions in all the countries in all the continents 
in all the worlds in all the galaxies in all the Universes, were at war with 
at least one other one.  Everything was in chaos, it hadn't always been like 
that, but one thing led to another and well, there you have it.  It got so 
bad that strange beings started to appear, it was rumored that they came 
from the chaos and hatred that was so stronge as to manifest physically and 
developed a consiousness.  Whether that is the case, or that they had always 
been there lurking in the shadows, they were the Vile and vile they were.  
But, throughout this time no one was really *happy* with all the war, but 
they didn't know how to stop it.  The mages were probably the most unhappy 
at all.  On many planets certian reagents were hard to impossible to grow 
and with the wars there was no way to import them.  The mages also could not
 trade spells to expand their knowladge of the archaine arts.  So they met 
secretly, sure it was dangerous,  but they had a need.  The mages created a 
Crystal for each faction out of what goodness they could find, each Crystal 
had its own unique powers.  The mages used these Crystals to help show 
people how stupid they were being, soon the wars stopped.  This was a hard 
blow to the Vile who fed on the chaos that war created.  Everyone knew all 
too well the horrors of war and the destruction it wrought and so would not
 easily return to war.  The Vile weren't stupid, well, at least *some* of 
them weren't and they saw this, they decided not to waste their time and 
stole time-travel technology from one of the civilizations.  The Vile used 
it to go forward in time.  Meanwhile, the Crystals became a symbol of all 
they had gained through peace, but soon they Crystals were no longer needed 
and they 'disapeared'.  In truth, the mages had found out about the Vile and
 hid the Crystals, each in a different way, so that whatever time the Vile 
came too the Crystals would 'select' someone from their faction and help 
them to keep the Vile from bringing chaos to the future. 
Now one from each of   the old factions must find the Crystal of their 
faction and 
join with the other Crystal possesers to combat the Vile.
     The Crystal Fighters use their Crystals as mostly a focus for  
their own energy and an enhancement of it. But, the Crystals also 
contain more,  powers and energy that the mages infused them with 
is locked away for a time when they might be discovered and put to use.  
So far the few Crystal Fighters that have surfaced do not yet know their 
own strength. They are  learning as they go along, but they must learn and 
move quickly before the Vile take over the universes.            


I can't explain the driving forces of each character, but I can explain
my own.  I was either going to have a semi-dark presense black haired
purple eyed mage--my idea of Rydia (I'd heard her name before and thought it
was neat, though the pic of her that my friend showed me did NOT go
with my mental pic at all, especially the green hair!), or a foresty
red-haired telepath--my typical Zelda.  Then I thought, hey in Sailor
Moon they change clothes, why not have her change appearence instead
of just get powers?  So she's kinda got 2 divisions of herself.  Plus,
while she was training with the mysterious ArchMage Zaria (she's lived
for millenia, was trained by the Goddess of Light (tho she didn't know
it at the time) broke some of her vows but adhered like crazy to the rest
mostly because she got burned after she broke her vows, they were there for
a reason, and she cut herself off from all affection and lived only for
her job and emptyness, though here's a spoiler, she ends up coming back to
herself after falling for the demigod who tends to pop up and help the CFs
or take various ones (Nity and Anakin) and train them, Sentinei (tho that 
was a surprise to me
lol tho, you wouldn't BELIEVE how hard I was laughing when I read that note!!
It was just TOO perfect!) and then Sentinei is killed in a battle for
Immortal control of Crystalia and Zaria almost kills the Goddess of Light
and herself in the process, but instead she opts for redemption) ) she
kinda gets her personality split (no can can naturally be that innocent
and niave!!) into Adlez/AIydr and Zelda/Rydia, Adlez is the evil form that
was brought out by this evil syrm in one story, she's actually a whole
other personality than Zelda-and completely opposite in every way.  ANYway.
So, this innocent elven girl Zelda finds a crystal in a forest and figures
out it gives her weird superpowers (well..water..) but also, with the
touch of the Crystal she becomes the CF informant, she knows just about
everything about the Crystals, their purpose etc.  Well, she's drawn to
this dimension called Crystalia where she meets Queen Emerald Light-dale,
who becomes UAs g/f and a CF sympathizer.  Then Nity who at the time was
a seperate personality from his Crystal self (he also transformed like Rydia,
not all of the CFs do, most don't actually ) which was Razis tho that
line kinda got lost ::shrugs::Senti forgot I guess   UA a comic-type
superhero from NYC then gets accidentally teleported into Crystalia and
has been stuck in this Reality every since.  He and Eme don't hit it
off too well, in fact, they're at each others throats constantly, but
somehow the miniteam is able to function.  Then the late and lamented
Coda and Anakin comes along, Coda a just discovering his animorph powers
techno guy--well, he had a sentient board named T.I.M.--friend of BOTC
(Bird of the Crystal, Senti picked the name I believe, no one knows how
to pronounce it ), and Anakin a swordweilding person (it was a long
time ago, okay? I can't remember )  I'm just touching down on the
major things, not going into detail about every story so let's see...
Coda's Crystal was the balance Crystal (kinda like the gigantic powerful
M'krann that showed up for us in one story).  UA has a symbiote, as does
his interdimensional other EUA, and it kinda gives him powers, his Crystal
is only good as a battery or a paperweight, no power ranger junk for him!
Also, a baddie shows up called Lady Darkness who turns out to be the mother
of Striker a CF who ends up turning evil and being the cause of Nity's death
in "Darkest Hour"  We also have a villian called Dolomite who led the Vile
through time, and his underling Phyllite who double crossed everyone she met.
Though that got mixed up and we ended up with a whole slew of Phyllite
clones.  There was also an instance of Dark Crystals which of course
the villians scrambled after.  This is when they met up with a two
sets of vampires, the Light vampires and the Dark vampires, the Light ones
protected the Dark Crystals from evil of course.  With the appearence of
the M'krann Crystal in "Crystal in the Sky" UA starts to develope this
sickness which ends up stemming from the loss of his symbiote who's spirit
or something comes back to help the CFs get EUA into making his own
symbiote help UA.  Zarina appeared for a little bit, but she was killed or
disapeared.  The Crystalline warrior covert prince Ganthet came to the
CFs with a Crystal that he bonded to himself, I'm not quite sure what
his Crystal does though.  But with his body he can do neat harmonic
vibrations, the power of which were increased a LOT in one story.  In
a later story his spirit switched bodies a couple times and now he's
taken up that of a female human who had to die for him to be able to do that.
He has her diary too.  Then from the planet of psi came the mysterious
protoss Zealen who normally uses his psi blades to attack, I can't remember
anything about his Crystal.  Zarina's btw, had powers like Zelda's, but
it didn't change her.  Kisutsu was a bit like Zarina, and he had weather
powers, but he was killed in "Darkest Hour".  They were both a bit...
scatterbrained to say the least  Though Zarina came back once with a
tutor named Ryliann and they were both lost.  Then Phyllite had a plot
to take over the Dreamworld in "Dreamworld" but the Cfs of course prevailed, 
and they even picked up a new CF--Rupay/Deena who is indeginous to the
Dreamworld.  Also the technological explosion obssesed PyroMaster joined the 
team, he hasn't changed a of his ships--all named "DragonStar"  Entropy also
came up our resisdent dark presense who at one time betrayed the CFs and
is always disputing leadership with UA, he used to turn into Ankhell but
something happened and he stopped, he's a fluidic being as well as in love
with Tala who has shadow powers, 3 Crystals and an annoying evil twin
named Nokomis who now kind of lives inside her head.  Oh, and she's part
demon.  Entropy's Crystal had powers and he tends to use a medallion
and tends to use latin while using his powers.  Maia/Makara was very quiet 
and
a princess I believe with some royal problems at home, but she was killed.
And of course there is Krakken, even more of a dark persona than Entropy,
he has wind powers and also a little black box called soulkeeper, BEWARE
THE BOX!  We also had a volcano-based kid trapped as a fire elemental
who was around for a bit.  So, through the stories the group gathers and
of course, meets the enemy but soon it becomes evident that the place that
became their home base, was not going to surive with them.  In the Immortal
realm, the Ealians were gaining control of Crystalia despite Sentinei's
efforts and their goal was ownership and then destruction of Crystalia.  
As the planet/dimension begins to collapse around them, the CFs strive to
move all the inhabitants to safety, loosing some of their own in the process
until finally the planet begins to implode and the CFs that are left try
to escape in a small ship.  They were just about to make it past the
strong pull of gravity, when Striker somehow grabbed the ship, Nity 
sacrificed himself to stop Striker and let the rest of the CFs get away
in a desperate 'port.  They were thrown into a few alternate realities
and tried to make the best of it while they searched for the Staff of
Jerium Prime, the one thing that can actually bring Crystalia back.  
While they searched, they found Rupay, who had been reborn in the
Dreamworld and Dakey, the little brother Nity never knew he had.  Through
many trials they made their way back into their own dimension (I *think*)
though they lost their ship and gained a new one named "Avenger" for their
lost (only for a time) comrade UA-Ultra Avenger.  Now they are on Entropy's
large ship, the Omricon, still just coasting through space trying to survive
and searching for any hint as to the whereabouts of Jerium Prime.  The CFs
that are left are:  Ganthet in a new body, Pyro, Zelda with a new 
level of transformation, Dakey (a kid) with his guide and guard Lil Flame 
the fire
lizard, a new CF of ice and snow--Clopheara, Lark who came to them in
"Darkest Hour", UA, Eme who's a bit psycotic, a very annoyed Entropy who's
VERY close to mutiny, little Rupay, and Krakken who keeps disapearing.

UPDATE  4/13/00

Entropy has taken over with UAs resignation.  He, along with a few others, is down on the planet Faia where we picked up Deyja another younger CF.  On Faia because of the violent racial wars, the Vile have been thriving.  Through a strange series of events involving one *good* Vile, Ganthet has been ressurected, but with his life we lost Eme in an explosion, though she might no really be gone.  Also, Grey, Kaliana, and Tachyon have joined the team and after both the destruction of "Omnicron" and "Avenger" the CFs found a gigantic ship called Destiney's Child and are on it at present.  This amazing ship is large enough to house an entire planet...one of our own choosing...so, of course, Crystalia has been reborn...
