Located in Sullivan, IL (pop. 4400) the theatre operates in summer stock fashion June through August, with a Chistmas show in December and a spring show in April. Actors are Equity members, as well as non-union, and are selected from around the country. The Little Theatre On The Square was established in 1957 by Guy S. Little Jr. and for many years featured some of the biggest names from Broadway, Hollywood, and television. "Stars", located in the sidewalks around the square, commemorate the talented celebrities that once performed there.

Stop into Jibby's to see photos of past productions. The cast can sometimes be found relaxing there after a performance or at Big D's, located just off the square. Swing by the Blue Heron Bookstore to get fresh coffee and great books. And don't forget to visit Lake Shelbyville for a swim!

Sullivan is a wonderful town and hence many actors return to the theatre again and again. There is something magical about the theatre, the community and the history of Sullivan.
