The Boys' latest album, Millennium, released in May, is a lock on the best-selling album of the year, moving more than seven million copies, and possibly considerably more, with the holiday season approaching. In its first week of release alone, it sold more than 1.13 million copies, shattering sales records. The world tour has been a success as well, with all 750,000 North American tickets selling out in a single day. At the same time, the Orlando quintet has managed to back up its nice-guy image, keeping ticket prices low and actively participating in charity ventures across the country.
In return, their record label, Jive, has rewarded them with an enormous new contract, and in turn they're now rewarding their fans with a new set of tour dates. Kicking off on Feb. 11 in University Park, Pa., the new dates are scheduled to continue through March 10, with a performance in Indianapolis. At press time, only one ticket-sale date had been announced
Two dates remain on the Boys' current tour. On Dec. 5 and 6, the band will play the National Car Rental Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Originally, these performances were scheduled as the beginning of the tour, but they were canceled and rescheduled in the wake of Hurricane Floyd.
