Co-sponsored by VH1, the Save The Music campaign seeks to improve the quality of music education in public schools, as well as heighten awareness about the value of such programs.
To date, the Save The Music campaign has raised more than $25 million in funds, and helped start 350 music programs in 30 cities across the U.S., bringing music education to some 120,000 children and students.
The Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean was back in Florida over the weekend to announce his support and help donate funds to start a Save The Music Campaign for kids in Central Florida.
During a kick-off ceremony at the Hard Rock Café, McLean said that he will assist in publicizing the region's new chapter of Save The Music, and Time-Warner Communication also presented the organization with a check for $10,000.
