THREADGILL
Wiley Threadgill was born cir. 1806. He married Hannah (Ann) on 9/1/1830 and it was documented on 8/27/1866 by I.W. Hamilton,J.P.. (I believe this was a Freedman's marriage). Amos is the only child that I have recorded for them. He was born in abt 1834 in Union County, NC. Amos Threadgill married: (1) Mary Sullivan on 10/22/1866. The ceremony was performed in Union Co., NC by A. HORNE,J.P. They had the following issue:
Thomas born 1867 in Burnsville Twp., Anson Co.,NC. Wellington born in 1869 in Burnsville Twp., Anson Co., NC Reston (Wriston)) born in 1873 in Burnsville Twp., Anson Co., NC. He married (1)Nettie Manus, dau. of Peter ___. and (2) Hannah Leake. Walter born in 1875 in Burnsville Twp., Anson Co., NC. Amos's second wife was Margaret Williams born 1854 on 11/21/1877 in Anson County,NC., they were married in the home of Jacob HORN in New Salem Township. Witnesses were Moses PEARCE and Jacob HORN. The ceremony was performed by A.B. Smyer, P. Elder. Margaret had several children prior to her marriage to Amos. They were:
Susan Williams Threadgill who was born in 1869. Susan married Lilly Parker b. 1865, son of Wash and Hanna Parker Henry Williams born in 1877 Together, Amos and Margaret had the following children:
Vache* (my husband's grandfather) who was born 1878 and married Elizabeth (Lizzie) Austin, daughter of Green H. Austin** and Susan Horn Austin.They were married on July 14, 1900 in Union County, NC. They had the following children who were all born in Marshville, Union County, NC.
Marry born in 1902 Flossie born in 1905 Cullie born in 1907 John born in 1910 Wallace born in 1912 James born in 1914 Mabel born in 1916 Samuel, Sr.(my husband's father) born in 1920 and died 7/19/1975. Samuel married Evelyn Rhodes(see COPELAND and HARRISON information below) Nettie born 1883 Sylvester born 1887 B. Atlas(female) born 1887 Fred D. born 1892 Rena born 1893 Ola born 1893 Lula born 1894 Joseph born 1899 **AUSTIN, Green H. born 1848, son of Jackson and Nancy Polk married Susan Horn born 1860 on 3/1/1878 in Union County, NC. The only child that I have for them is Lizzie AUSTIN. (see THREADGILL, Vacher)
BOON-PARKER
Mills Parker born 1830 married Maryan Boon born 1831. In 1880, the family was living in Reynoldson Twp., Gates County, NC. I believe some of the children that were living with them were MaryAn's grandchildren. The children that were listed on the 1880 soundex were:
Boon, John A. born 1853 Boon, Caroline born 1857 Boon-Parker, Elisha born 1859 married Rosetta Copeland, born 1863, daughter of Joanna Copeland(see COPELAND information below) on 7/6/1883 in Nansemond County, VA.. The children that I have information on are:
Addie Boon-Parker born in 1883. She married James Harrison, son of William and Sallie Harrison, on 4/14/1904 in Southampton Co., VA. (see HARRISON information below) Willis Boon-Parker born in 1896. He married Akry Boone, daughter of John F. and Kizzar Boone. Ella J. Boon-Parker born in 1904. She married Robert Holland, son of William and Annie Holland.They were married on 12/28/1925.Boon, Alice born 1866 Boon, Rocius born 1862 Boon, Mary A. A. born 1873 Boon, Willey born 1878 Boon, "Baby" born 1880
~~~~~~~~COPELAND~~~~~~~ Rose Copeland born in 1820 and was living in Nansemond County in 1850. She is listed on the 1850 census living next to the Rachel Copeland# household. I don't know if there is a connection between them, but I am inclined to believe that there was. The only child that I have for Rose was Joanna.
Joanna was born in 1843. I don't have any spousal information for her, but her children were:
Augustus born in 1862 Rosetta,born in 1863. She married Elisha Boon-Parker. (see BOON-PARKER information above) Scrap(?) born in 1865. Octavius born in 1866. James born in 1867. Calvin born in 1869
~~~~~~~HARRISON~~~~~~~ John Harrison born 1800 married Sarah ? born 1810. The family was living in Charlotte County,VA. in 1870 and in Palmer Springs Dist., Mecklenburg County, VA. in 1880. The only son I have listed for them is William.
William Harrison was born 1840. He married Sally Moore born 1845, and the daughter of Lucinda Moore. They were married on 5/6/1886 in Mecklenburg Co.,VA. They had the following children:
Mary S.. who was born 1870 and married John Jones on 12/25/1889 in Mecklenburg Co., VA. Martha A. born 1872 Anna born 1874 James A. was born 1880 and married Addie Boon-Parker(SEE BOON-PARKER,Elisha).They were married in Southampton Co., Va.Their children were:
Earl D. born 1905 and died in 1999. Bertha born 1907 married Marvin Rhodes. Bertha had one child, Evelyn, born before her marriage to Marvin. It is believed that the father of Evelyn was Frank Story.
Evelyn born in 1926 married Samuel Threadgill, Sr.(my husband's parents) Inez born 1908 and married Obie Howell, son of Jim and Sarah Howell. I have information on one child of theirs who was Wallace Lee who married Doloris ?. James, Jr. born 1911 married Elnora ? Rosetta born in 1913 and died in 1995. She married Irving Williams, Sr.. Their children were:
Irving, Jr. who married Joan ?. Yvette Elliott born in 1916 ~HOUSEHOLD OF RACHEL COPELAND, NANSEMOND COUNTY, 1850~
Rachel Copeland, age 60 Jack Copeland, age 34 Hill Copeland, age 21 Rachel Copeland, Jr., age 19 Salley Copeland, age 8 Sophia Copeland, age 4.
