Lock Monsters cut price of top tickets

LOWELL -- The Lowell Lock Monsters reduced the cost of their highest-priced tickets from $35 to $22 yesterday.

The price change reduces the cost of tickets in the Club Seat Sections A and M, which are located directly above the center ice red line. Just under 500 seats are available in those sections.

"Although we have already sold a significant number of club seats, the message we have received from our fans is that the price difference as compared to other sections was too significant," said Tom Rowe, Lock Monsters executive vice president. "Therefore, we have responded to that message accordingly."

Ticket prices in all sections other than the Club Seats range from $11-$15. Just over 1,000 tickets still remain for the season opener Friday night against the Portland Pirates at the Tsongas Arena. Tickets are also available for Saturday's game vs. New Haven.

Fans that have already purchased season tickets in the club section will have several options. They may credit their Lock Monster ticket account, use the difference toward the purchase of additional tickets, or receive a cash refund. Fans that have purchased individual game tickets in the club section through the Tsongas Arena Box Office should contact the box office to receive a refund.
