LOWELL -- The Lowell Lock Monsters will entertain Cincinnati, the top farm team of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, in American Hockey League action tonight at 7:05 at Tsongas Arena.

Lowell is 2-2 in its inaugural AHL season, with both wins coming at the expense of the Portland Pirates and both losses at the hands of the Beast of New Haven.

This is Lowell's first foray against a non-Eastern Conference opponent and Cincinnati's only visit to Lowell this season.

Cincinnati, a member of the AHL's Western Conference, is 1-2-1 and has been outscored 14-12. The Mighty Ducks will wrap up a four-game road trip tonight; they are 0-2-1 thus far on the trip.

Cincinnati's all-star, Bob Wren, needs six points to reach 200 for his AHL career.

Left wing Sean Haggerty leads the Lock Monsters with 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points.

Mark Lawrence is the team leader in goals with 3 and he, John Namestnikov, ex-ULowell star Craig Charron and Warren Luhning each are averaging a point a game for the four games.

Goaltender Marcel Cousineau is 2-1-0 with a 3.67 goals against average for the Lock Monsters.

The Lock Monsters will stay at Tsongas Arena for games Friday night against Syracuse, Saturday night against the Providence Bruins, and next Wednesday night against Springfield, giving them seven of their first eight games at home.

Tickets for all games are available at the box office.
