Jeff;
As a fan of the game, I know injuries are part of the game. But this one of yours, by far is not one ANYONE wants.
I know from the news reports that you are with your family and I know that is very comforting.
Please know that every fan as well as player in the league has you in their thoughts and prayers. Everyone is thinking positive thoughts and we know you will come through this.
I may not be a fan of Lowell''s but that is only because I live here in Portland and have to cheer for the PIRATES. Get well quick so that we may see you back on the ice here in Portland.
Believe it or not, all things happen for a reason and you will come through this even stronger that before.
GOD SPEED on your recovery!!

Jeff-
I can''t say that I watch much hockey but being that my boyfriend is into your team and just hockey in general, I heard about your injury this past Saturday night. I was saddened by this considerably, to hear that you''re just starting out (or are young) and something so awful has happened to you. I know that all the "best wishes" in the world can''t make this go away for you but just know that all your fans and even people who know very little about hockey, are thinking of you :) I wish you all the best and may life bring you a new discovery of yourself, out of something so tragic. - Jen

It takes a while and I can hope and pray that your life journey will find many fulfilling stops along the way, perhaps even returning to the ice! Peace, Ed

Jeff, I wish you all the best in the future. I''ve followed you closely from your time in Waterville, to UMO, to the American and International Leagues and of course on to the NHL. That''s quite a ride in such a short time. It may have only been a short trip but, you made it to the NHL, a place many people try their entire careers to get and never make it. Not bad for a kid from Maine.
I along with all other Lock Monster, Islander, and AHL fans wish you nothing but the best in the future. You can do it, you''ve overcome a lot and can get by this too.
Best of luck, you will be in my prayers.

Jeff,
You don''t know me, and I don''t know you. We are linked by our love for a sport and the understanding that certain risks go along with participating.
You are facing a challenge that could force a significant change in lifestyle. We both understand that the injury you sustained could end your hockey career at an age far earlier that you would ever wish. What it cannot change, however, is the man that you are. From within you, the heart that makes you a competitor can carry you to success despite a setback of this nature, should the worst happen.
Keep your chin up, keep fighting no matter which direction events take you. Nothing and no one but you can take away a fighter''s heart. Keep it strong and it will get you through this. I promise.
God bless you.
Mark Desman Just another hockey fan

As a sister of a Junior Hockey player (for the Cleveland Barons) who has been injuried many times I know what it feels like. Over the years we have had many broken bones, cuts that severed ligaments and tendons, and concusions and broken necks. I know you will pull through and come out stronger than before, after all you are a hockey play and that''s what hockey players are all about-hard work, strength, committment, and just plain toughness. My thoughts and pairs are with you in you time of recovery and I hope that someday you will reach every hockey players highest dreams which is playing in the NHL

Thank god it was an accident and not done intentionally the somethings are done these days. Try to keep you chin up and know that there are a lot of people out there praying for you.

Dear Mr. Jeff Libby, I am the son of Tom Rowe, I got back to my room that very sad Sat. night and called him to see what had happened in the game. He sounded very shakey and said he couldn''t speak but that you guys had won. My mother then got on the phone and told me what happened. My stomach dropped, and I started to shake. I couldn''t believe that something this horrible could happen to such an innocent person. Mr. Libby I am only 17 years old I have lived with pereneal nerve damage since I have been four years old. It has been tough at times, but like any true athlete I have fought my battle. I feel that the lord has given me this obstacle for a reason and I will be rewarded some day. I feel the same way with you. Mr. Libby although I do have this injury that I will have for the rest of my life, I live a happy young man. I still do everything else kids my age can. I feel that you will overcame this obstacle in your life. I look att my injury and it has given me a new out look on life. I feel if you view this injury the same way you will also find the outlook ion life as well. Mr. Libby I wish you a speedy recovery. Good Luck. Sincerely,
Jason Rowe

Jeff, I wish you the best of luck. I am a hockey player who just recently suffered a career ending injury, I know(to some extent) how you must feel. Dont allow your thoughts of anger and denial to cloud your objectives. Work hard to recoup and obtain the best level of health you can. Then remember this...You''re talent lies within. You may be able to help instruct others (children, college players, etc) Find a way to funnel your passion for the game into similar avenues which help others. This will reward you with the satisfaction of assisting others and may even help you heal from within. I wish all the best to your life, health, family/friends, and career. God may work in strange ways...but we hockey players still have him beat. Best of luck, once again. Signed: Your right winged friend, Rish 27
