Game Preview:
The Struggling Hershey Bears, coached by NHL veteran Mike Foligno and
assisted by Jay Wells travel to the Mill city to take on the the Lock
Monsters. Lowell has won 2 of 3 and is 3-1-1 in it's last five games.
The Bears are one of the oldest franchises in professional hockey and
are one of three AHL cities that has charter teams still active.
Rochester and Syracuse are the others. Syracuse' current franchise is
only 5 years old however. 

G Marcel Cousineau now ranks in the top-10 in all major goaltending
categories. He was once again a nominee for the AHL player of the
week.  

Hershey is without RW Scott Parker, who was suspended for his part in
a brawl in Hershey vs. Kentucky two weeks ago. 

The Lock Monsters are 1-0-0 against the Mid-Atlantic division this
year, their win coming against Cincinnati on October 18, a 3-0 shutout
by Cousineau. 

The Lock Monsters C Mike Peron will look to follow up his AHL debut
with another stellar performance. Peron is in from Roanoke, of the
ECHL while Craig Charron is with the US National team in Austria. 

Lock Monsters D Mike Gaul is a former skater with the Bears last season.

Lowell-  D Mike Gaul is day-to-day with a groin injury. He is expected
to play Wednesday

The game begins a big week for the Lock Monsters.  They travel to St.
John's NFLD for two games this weekend and return home to host
Portland on Sunday. They sit just 2 points out of first place before
play on Wednesday.

Hershey's Mitch Lamoreaux, the 1982 AHL Rookie of the year is in the
top-20 in almost all AHL scoring categories. 

D Brad Larsen is the captain of the team, the first time for him in
the professional ranks. G Marc Denis is a top prospect for the
Avalanche who placed him in Hershey to get more playing time.
