LOWELL -- The Lowell Lock Monsters will hold their first on-ice practice at Tsongas Arena on Monday, Sept. 21 beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Lock Monster players will begin arriving in Lowell in two weeks, with a team meeting scheduled for Sunday night Sept. 20.

The Lock Monsters are the American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders. Most of the players on the Lock Monsters roster will attend the Islanders NHL training camp in Lake Placid, N.Y., which begins on Sept. 13, before coming to Lowell.

"We're anxious to get started," said Lock Monster coach Frank Anzalone, in a prepared statement. "Right now we're busy preparing for camp and making sure that all the details have been taken care of. Our coaching staff will be attending the New York Islanders camp to take a look at all of the talent throughout the organization."
