Chapter 3: Who To Choose

Someone pulled Lindsay over, put their hand around her eyes, pulled her close, and kissed her nice and gently.

"Wow! That was great," Lindsay said while the person's hand was still over her eyes.

"It always has been and it always will be," said a very familiar voice.

Lindsay removed the person's hands from her eyes. "Ryan, what the hell do you think you're doing? We both agreed our relationship was over."

"Yeah, but it was never an official break-up," he said trying to sound as if he had no clue of what Lindsay was talking about.

"Yes, it was," she said sternly. "What makes you think it wasn't?"

"I don't know. To tell you the truth, I've missed you," he said sweetly while trying to make her baby blues catch his hazel eyes. He kneeled down on his right knee while using his other knee as an armrest for his left arm so he can grab Lindsay's right hand and said, "Can we get back together again?"

Lindsay laughed at Ryan because what he did looked as if he had planned the way to get Linds back.

Ryan laughed since Linds was laughing, but he stoped once Linds put a serious look on her face.

She stood there in shock not knowing what to say and trying to think, but Ryan cut off her thoughts by saying "Please think about it. I would really appreciate it if you take a while and do that for me," he told.

"Okay, I will think about It." she agreed.

"Cool," he said.

Suddenly, the late bell rang. "We better go," Lindsay told Ryan, "If I am late for Mrs. Smith's class one more time she said I was gonna get a detention," Lindsay explained.

"Wouldn't want that to happen because if it does, then our time together will be cut down," he said with a grin on his face. "So, I'll see ya later then and just promise me that you will think about it."

"I promise," Lindsay said.

Ryan put his hand through Lindsay's hair, which made her head tilt a bit to the right, and he kissed her the way she loved him to kiss her (soft and meaningfully).

While walking to class, late, Lindsay was confused; I don't know what to do. First Nick and I fall for each other and now Ryan wants to get back together. I don't know what to do.

* * *

All throughout the day Lindsay kept to herself trying to decide on what to do. She was put in the middle of Nick and Ryan. I need to talk to someone. But who? Someone to help me get my thoughts straight. I know the perfect person. Alyssa. She's good with helping others. (Alyssa and Lindsay have known each other since the third grade. They were really good friends.)

Just as Lindsay got home, she picked up the phone and dialed 597-9364 (Alyssa's number).

Ring Ring

"Hello," Alyssa said

"Oh, thank god you're home. I have had the most confusing day."

"Why's that so?" Alyssa asked with concern.

"Okay, well, you know what happened between Nick and me, right?"

"Yeah, don't tell me he asked you out and you said no."

"No!"

"You said yes?" Alyssa asked excited for Lindsay.

"No."

"You said no? What's wrong with you? You have been dying to go out with Nick. I can't...."

Lindsay cut her off in mid sentence. "Nick never asked me out. I wish he will, but someone else did."

"Who? Don't tell me. Let me guess. Mmmm.....Mike?"

"No."

"David?"

"No, he's going out with Mackie, he would never cheat on her, and besides that, the two of them are like inseparable."

"I have no clue then."

"Would you like me to tell you?" Lindsay asked Alyssa.

"Yes, please do."

"Ryan!"

"Are you kidding me?" Alyssa said laughing. "After what he did to you?"

"What do u mean? What he did to me?"

"Well, he just dumped you for that bimbo."

"Oh, yeah I forgot about that," Lindsay said. Ryan and Lindsay had gone out for a month and then she found out that he was going out with Lindsay's ex-best friend. Her name is Stephanie. Stephanie had taken Ryan from Lindsay and, as stupid as he was, Ryan fell for Stephanie back. She always flirted with him and he was too stupid to know it was only her phony act.

"If I were you, I would tell Ryan that he made a big mistake in the beginning when he went out with Stephanie behind you back," Alyssa had given Lindsay for some advice.

"I need to think about what to say to him. Okay, I think that I definitely need some time on this one. But what do I say if Nick asks me out or Ryan won't give up."

"Do and say what you feel is best for yourself."

"Thanx," Lindsay said to Alyssa. She did help Linds out a bit. That bit did much for Linds.

"Hey, No Problem. I'd hate to say this, but I gotta go now. Good luck."

"Thanx, I think I'll need it."

Alyssa laughed. "You'll do fine. Trust me. Well, see ya! Adios mi amiga."

"Bye!"

Linds put down the phone and sulked. What do I do? Linds asked herself.

Suddenly, the phone rang again.

"Hello?" Lindsay asked.

"Hey, Wuz up?" said a guy's voice.

Linds felt like freaking because she knew exactly who it was.

"Oh, hey Nick. Wuz up? Hey, how'd you get my phone number?" Linds asked with curiosity. He had called Linds on her own private number which was an unlisted number.

"From Mackie. You don't mind, do you?" he asked Linds.

"Oh, no, of course not. Why would I mind?"

"Dunno. I'm just glad you don't. So, wuz up?"

"Nothing much, and you?" she asked him.

"Well, I have a question I wanna ask you."

"Sure, shoot!"

"Are you busy this Saturday night?"

"I don't think so, why?" Lindsay asked him, but she knew where he was getting at. She wasn't gonna say 'Sure, I have been planning this out ever since you moved in. First we will go to the movies, then to dinner at Chef Paris... she couldn't say that.'

Suddenly, Lindsay heard a beep at the other end. It was for her, someone else was calling on the other line. "Be right back." she informed Nick and clicked over to the other side before Nick could respond back.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hey, guess who!"

"Ryan, why do you like to play these stupid guess who games, I know your voice."

"Okay, okay, I won't play it anymore. Calm down! So, do you have an answer for me yet?"

"No, not yet. I need more time."

"Okay, fine! Take as much time as you need."

"Thanx for understanding."

"Hey, no problem, babe."

"Thanx, I gotta go."

"Why," he asked curiously.

"Do I have to tell you everything?" Linds asked starting to think Ryan was becoming a pain.

"It would be nice," he replied.

"Someone else is on the other end."

"Okay, fine. See ya soon."

"Yep, bye!"

"Bye."

Lindsay clicked back over to Nick's side of the line.

"Sorry," she said.

"That's cool. So, would you like to go to the movies this Saturday?" Nick asked out of the blue.

"Um......um..." Linds stumbled.
