Turn Back Time

Nick

--------------------

I guess we didn’t notice how long we were talking, because when I looked at my watch, it was already 7 o’clock. I really didn’t care what time it was, we were all having a lot of fun. Donna came back into the room to talk to us.

“Guys, I got some really important things to be telling you right now...” She sat down, and began. “I was talking to Lou before, and well, this is the deal. Take the rest of the week off, then come back here on Saturday. Then, we’re flying over to Europe, and you guys are going to record you very first single. We’re woking with world renound producers, Denis Pop and Max Martin.” All our mouths dropped. “But that’s not it. Over the next few months, we’re going to be flying all over the place, getting you guys to record songs for your debut cd. We want to get you guys out there as soon as possible. It’s going to be a while, but hopefully, it will all pay off in the end.” We were all so excited about all this, that we didn’t even notice Donna leave the room.

“Well, guys. This has been a long day, let’s call it quits for today. See you Saturday...” Kevin got up, grabbed his keys off the counter, and motioned for Howie and Brian to follow.

“Yeah, bye guys. Bye B.J., bye Abugail.” Brian said just as the three of them headed out the door.

“Well, I guess B.J. and I will see you guys later.” I said, picking up a few of my video games that were strewn all over the floor.

“Oh, Abigail. Here. It’s my phone number. Call me during the week, and maybe we can do something together. I finish school at 3.” She handed Abigail a piece of paper.

“Thanks.” The two of them hugged goodbye. Girls, so emotional.

“Hey Abigail, do you want me to bring you to your hotel?” A.J. asked, being the perfect gentleman that he is, or that he tries to be.

“It’s okay, Donna’s going to take me home. She said she still had some things to tell me before I made my desicion. But thanks anyways.”

“Okay then... He Nick, can I bum a ride home.”

“Sure thing A.J., come on.” All four of us left the room, A.J. closing the door behind us. We brought Abigail to Donna, and we all headed home for a week of relaxation...

--------------------

Donna

--------------------

I lead Abiagil to my car, and we got in.

“So what is it you wanted to tell me?” She asked me, just as we pulled out of the parking lot.

“Well, I just wanted to go over a few rules, just so you know what they are, and so you know what you’re getting yourself into.”

“Ok, that’s fine with me.”

“Here goes. If you’re going to be touring with the guys, you’re going to have to make certain sacrafices. Early moring wakeups, getting in late at night, and no boyfriends. I’m not saying you can’t have one, it’s just, you can’t bring him wiht us. He can stay with you at the hotels, but he can’t come with you when you’re with the guys. It’ll just distract you. Got it so far?”

“Yeah, and don’t worry, guys aren’t my first priority right now.”

“Also, you may have to be tutored. Only because we’re not sopose to take minors with us unless they are still getting an education. I know it sucks, but it’s a one on one thing, well, you’ll be going to a tutor with Nick, because he is learning what you learn.” I heard Abigail sigh, but I knew she would agree to it.

“And, well, I really don’t think that this is going to be an issue, but we don’t allow the guys to get in a relationship with people they work with. It’s not that we don’t allow it, it’s just that we prefer that they concentrate on their work right now, and not girlfriends.”

“Don’t worry about that one. I’m not going to breack any rules.”

“So does that mean you’re in?” I asked with a smile.

“Yep. I’m in.” Abigail smiled back at me. “So when do I start?”

“Well, like you heard before, the guys are going to record their first single to be released soon, hopefully. We’re leaving Saturday, and we’ll be gone for a while. The temperature is a little colder there, so do you have the right clothes for the weather?”

“Not with me, but I can arange to get some.”

“Good. Well, here you are. I’ll call you on Friday with a bit more details. Bye love.”

“Bye.” She hopped out of the car and went straight into the hotel. I began to drive off.

“She seems like a good kid. I think the guys are going to like having her around.” I said aloud, drving away from the hotel.

--------------------

Abigail

--------------------

A few days have passed since I made my decision, and I’m getting really bored of all this hotel crap. Maybe I’ll call B.J. Now where did I put that number... I picked up my pants from the day I met her, and pulled out her number. I looked at my watch. 3:30. Well, at least I know she’s home. I picked up the phone and dialed 9, then her number.

“Hello?”

“Hi is B.J. there?”

“Yes, may I aske who’s calling?”

“It’s Abigail.”

“Abigail? Hey, it’s me Nick.”

“Oh hey Nick.”

“So what are you doing calling my sister?”

“Well, I was wondering if she wanted to do something today, could I talk to her?”

“Sure thing,” Nick called out for B.J., he passed her the phone.

“Hey Abigail, so you want to do something?”

“That’s why I called.”

“Well, why don’t you come over, bring a bathing suit, and we can decide from there.”

“Ok, sounds great.” B.J. gave me her address, and how to get to her house. We hung up, and I went to the closet, and got my clothes. I wore white hip huggers, and a blue sleeveless shirt. I grabbed my red two piece, and put it, along with sunblock and a towel, in my red backpag. I grabbed my wallet, and headed for B.J’s house. I had to ask a few bus drivers how to get where I was headed, and I finally got there at about 4:30. B.J. was waiting for me on her lawn. She came up to me, as I pullled into their driveway.

“Hey, what took you so long?” She asked, leading me to their house.

“Well, I am sorta new to this place. But it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be.” We walked in her house, and I was greated by a storm of kids.

“Abigail, I would like you to meet Leslie, Aaron and Angel.”

“Hi guys,” I said to the kids, who in turn said hello back.

“Come, I wanna show you where my room is. We walked through a hall, and passed a closed bedroom door. “That’s Nick’s room... And here’s mine.” She lead me in to this big room. We sat on her bed.

“So what would you like to do?” She asked me.

“I don’t know. Anything is fine with me. I just really had to get out of that hotel.”

“Well, why don’t we go and get some sun on the beach before it sets for the day?”

“Sounds good. Um, where’s your washroom?”

“Down the hall next to Nick’s room.” I went to the washroom and got changed into my bathing suit. When I was done, I went back to B.J.’s room, and we headed for a beach right near their house. As we headed out, Nick opend his door and looked at us.

“Where are you two going?” He asked.

“We’re going to soak in some rays. Give ourselves some color.” B.J. said not looking back, and with that, we were out the door.

--------------------

B.J.

--------------------

Abigail and I headed to my favorite spot on the beach, and we set down our towels. We both layed down, and put on our glasses, and we tanned. Abigail is so nice. We get along so well. I wish I could go on tour with the guys as much as she does.

“So, do you mind if I call you Ab’s?” I asked before continuing.

“No, not at all. That’s sorta my nickname, well that and Pooky.”

“As I was saying, I’m just wondering how you are going to put up with those guys 24/7. I mean, my brother is enough to drive me crazy, but five of them? You are strong...” Ab’s laughed. She turned to me.

“You know B.J., even though I’ve only known you a few days, I already think I’ve found a sister.” I smiled back at her. I’m glad that I can be here for her. She seems like she’s been through a lot. I think she needs me...

We stopped talking at one point, and we both just layed on our towels, letting the sun warm us up. Everything seemed serene and calm, nothing could possibly ruin this moment. But something did.

“Ahhh!!!” Both Ab’s and I screamed as a bunch of cold water was thrown on us. When we turned to see what had wet us, it was Brian, Nick and Aaron.

“You guys!!! You’re all dead!” Me and Ab’s jumped up, and ran after those little twerps, well, they weren’t actually little, well Aaron was, but that’s besides the point. We tried to throw sand at them, and then we realized that that wouldn’t work, so we ran to my backyard after the guys, and we got a hold of the hose.

“Ok, now B.J., just put down the hose.” Brian said, slowly edgeing away.

“Yeah, no need to get nasty...” Nick added in.

“Too bad...” I turned on the hose, and sprayed them all. Ab’s grabbed onto their hands so they wouldn’t run. I tried not to hit her, but it was a bit hard.

“Ugh!!! Not me, THEM!!!” Ab’s said when I sprayed her, by acident.

“Sorry!” But it was too late. This time the three of them were after me. We all ended up having this massive water fight, while Aaron just sat on the back porch laughing at us. It was fun.

--------------------

Aaron

--------------------

As I watched them have a stupid water fight, I couldn’t help but laugh. They all look so stupid. Ha. I like Abigail. She’s cool. Hmm... I’m hungry, maybe I’ll go in and get some food...

--------------------

Brian

--------------------

After the massive water fight that Nick and I started, hehehe... We all went inside to get dried up. Abigail and B.J. went to get their stuff off the beach, while nick and I got something for us to eat.

“So what do you think of Abigail,” Nick asked me, grabbing a bag of chips out of his cupboard.

“I like her. At least she’s not all shy around us. I think she’s going to end up being likeone of our little sisters or something. I’ve never had a little sister, I think it’ll be fun.”

“Well, I have THREE little sisters, and it can be fun, but sometimes they can be the biggest pains in the butt...” Nick grabbed four glasses out of another cupboard, and he poured everyone some Pepsi. Just then, the teo girls came back inside. They took their glasses and the chips, and ploped down on the couch.

“Thanks Nick...” B.J. called out.

“Yeah, thanks.” Abigail called out. The two of the looked like long lost sisters. B.J. was flipping through the channels looking for something to watch on t.v., commenting on everything, while Abiagil was watching B.J. talk to herself and laughing. They looked like best friends. Nick and I went and joined the girls, and we sat on the couch in front of them. Nick in front of B.J., myself in front of Abigail. B.J. hugged her brother around his neck when he sat down. She said somethign in his ear, and the two of them started to laugh.

While I watched them, I couldn’t help but wonder what it was like to have a little sister. Maybe with Abigail on tour with us, I could find out what it’s like...

--------------------

Abigail

--------------------

I left B.J.’s house late that night. It was around 11. Brian offerd to drive me to the hotel, because he said it wasn’t safe to take the bus at night. Aw... He’s worried abou me, how cute. I hugged B.J. and Nick goodbye, and I hopped into Brian’s jeep. He pulled out of their drive way, and we were off.

“Thanks again for giving me a lift. I’m so sure I would have gotten lost if I had to take the bus.”

“It’s no problem. Consider it almost like, like a big brother helping out his little sister.” He replied.

“Ok, a big brother deed. So where you going to drive me tommorrow?” I said jokingly with a smile. Brian smiled back at me. Then there was a silence.

“Abigail,” Brian broke the silence.

“Yeah?”

“Do you have a brother?”

“No, I don’t have any siblings. My mom had a daughter with her boyfriend, but she wont let me come and see her. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with me.”

“Oh, sorry ‘bout that.”

“Don’t be sorry. It’s not your fault. I’ve learned to live with my mothers decision, so I guess, I believe now, that I don’t really have a mom.”

“So, who’s there for you when your dad’s on tour and stuff?”

“No one really, I didn’t have many friends in school. No one really liked me.” There was another silence. This time, it was my turn to break it.

“You know, I’ve always wanted an older brother...” I looked at him, and I think he understood what I waas trying to ask.

“Well, look no furthur. Here you go, a big brother.” He looked at me with a cooky smile. I couldn’t help but laugh. When I was done laughing, I looked at him, and I smile. By now, we had arrived at my hotel.

“Well, here you go. Do you want me to walk you to your room?”

“No, I think I’m capable of doing that on my own.

“Ok.” We both leaned in, and hugged each other good bye. While we were hugging, I whisperd into Brian’s ear.

“Thank you. You don’t know how much this means to me.”

“I think I do.” He whisperd back. We broke our hug, and I got out of the car.

“See you Saturday.”

“Yeah Saturday,” he replied. I walked up to the hotel, and he pulled away in his jeep.

A Few Day Later... Saturday...

--------------------

Abigail

--------------------

I hugged my dad bye, and I boarded the plane. We were on our way to Switzerland, so the guys could record their very first single, “We’ve Got It Goin’ On”. They’re all so excited. I got on the plane, and took my seat next to A.J’s mom, Denise. I listend to my music most of the ride there, and I fell asleep every now and then, buteverytime the plane made the smallest bump, I’d end up waking up.

After the longest seven hours of my life, we finally made it. We got off the plane, and headed right for our hotel. We arrived at 6 o’clock in the morning there, and it felt so much later to us. We’re going to have to start getting used to all this time change crap. Donna told me it will be happening a lot more. We got to our hotel, had enough time to put our bags in our rooms, and go straight to the recording studio, so the guys could start working.

The guys had been practicing the song for a week now, but they still didn’t know what part belonged to who. Still, they had it pretty much down cold. WE got to the studio, and for abour four hours, they set everything up, and they talked to the producers, and figured out who’s singing what. They took a luch break, and then went right back to singing the song, but this time recording it.

The guys had to sing the song one by one, in his sound room. If I was doing that, I’d be so nervous... I think I’d die. Brian was first. He sang his parts so well, he has such a nice voice... Then it was A.J., then Nick, Kevin and Howie. By the time everyone was done, it was almost 1am. We were all so tierd. I was just watching the guys, and I was falling asleep, I have no idea how they can sing and stay awake fo so long...

When they were done, the producers told them to come back the next day, so they could hear what they have so far. The guys, tierd, agreed. We all went back to the hotel, for a good night rest.

The Next Day...

--------------------

Nick

--------------------

I was sitting with Abigail on a couch, waiting for the others to come down so we could go back to the studio.

“So what did you think about yesterday? Were we any good?” I asked, to a still half asllep Abigail.

“Were you any good? Hello?!? You have a record contract? Of course you guys were good. Didn’t you find it a lot of work? Was it any fun?”

“Yeah, it’s a lot of work, but if we want to get places, we have to do a lot of work. Fun? God, was it ever. I mean, It felt so good to be in that room, making a song, knowing that one day, people are going to hear it. It’s one of the greatest feelings around...”

“Hmm... Sounds like fun.” Abiagil yawned.

“Still tierd? Did you get to sleep alright last night?”

“Not really, I’ve always had a problem sleeping. I don’t get enough of it.” She yawned again. Just then al the others came down. Abiagil and I got up from the bench to cath up with the others. Donna noticed that Abigail was half out of it.

“Abigail, honey. You look like you haven’t slept in ages. Did you get enough sleep?" Donna said reassuringly.

"Well, I slept a bit, but I don't usually get a good nights sleep. I'm not really used to early wake up calls. I'm sorry." Abigail replied rubbing her eyes.

"Don't be sorry, maybe you should stay behind today..."

"No, I'll come... But I'm warning you, if there is a big comfy couch there, it's mine..." We all smiled, and we all headed off for the studio.

When we got there, Abigail did find herself a couch, and she immediately fell asleep the minute she laid down on it. The rest of us went to hear what the producers had done with the song.

--------------------
Abigail
--------------------

I must have been asleep for a few hours, because when I woke up, everyone was eating lunch. I saw them all sitting down, in another room, eating away. I was too tired to get up and get some food. I put my head down to sleep again, but someone tapped my shoulder.

"Excuse me Miss, would you like a bottle of water." I looked up, and I was faced with this dark haired guy. I sat up, and fixed my shirt.

"Um, sure, thank you." The guy passed me a bottle of water and sat next to me.

"You seem to be real tired." He said to me.

"Yeah, I am. I didn't know we had to get up so early..." I pointed to the guys in the other room. "I'm with them."

"Them? What do you do for them?" He asked.

"Um, right now, nothing. I just go around with them. It's a long story..."

"Well, seeming as I don't have the time now, why don't you call me sometime so we could get together?"

"Well, we're not going to be here for much longer... But sure." The guy pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket, and took a pen off the coffee table in front of the couch. He wrote down his number on the paper, and handed it to me. I took it and smiled.

"I don't care if you call me in three years, I wanna hear from you."

"Okay, promise..." He got up of the couch and headed off.

--------------------
Brian
--------------------

Just as I went in to see Abigail, who just woke up, some guy went up to her. Not wanting to interrupt, I waited until he was gone. When he left her, I went to see her. I sat down next to her.

"Hey sleepy head," I nudged her shoulder, "Finally awake, I see..."

"Yeah, finally awake... So how does the song sound?"

"It sounds great. We have a good feeling about the song..."

"Well, don't get too excited too early." She smiled at me then looked down at the paper that guy gave her.

"So... Who was that guy?"

"What guy, the one who was here a few minutes ago?" I nodded. "Oh, that was just Nathan. He wants me to call him sometime, so we could get together. Nothing much." She replied, putting the number in her jeans.

"So are you actually going to go out with the guy? How much do you actually know about him?"

"Brian, are you worrying about me? That's so sweet. But you don't have to worry. I can take care of myself. But thank you anyway."

"Hey, just watching out for my little sis..."

"You're so sweet." She kissed me on the cheek, and got up to get some food. I sat there on the couch, and watched her walk away. Just as she was going in the room, the Nathan guy passed by me. I gave him a stare, and I think he thought I was crazy. Oh well...

A Few Months Later...

--------------------
Nick
--------------------

We all sat in a conference room, awaiting impatiently for the results of the Billboard top 100. We had set out our single in the States, and in a few places in Europe. We had no idea how anything was going. Today was the day where we found out how high we made it. Donna came in the room with a disappointed look on her face. All of the smiles that were once on our faces, were slowly creeping away...

"Boys, I have the results. Don't take them the wrong way, but-"

"Donna, just tell us." A.J said impatiently.

"You made it to number 69 on the Billboard top 100. There's little hope that you'll get any higher. Sorry guys." We all said nothing. What are you sopose to say to that. I, honestly, had almost given up after that news.

"But... I got some of the reviews from Europe, and well, you guys are becoming very big over there..." She smiled and all of us suddenly got out of our slump. We were so happy. Even Abigail was happy for us. “Guys, they want you to do some promotional stuff over there.”Our eyes lit up, and we all started to get real excited.

“So when do they want us to start?” A.J. asked.

“They’ll want you over there ASAP. I’m guessing in a few weeks... I want you all to go home and get some rest, because for the next few days, you’re going to be working with an excellent dance coreographer, Fatima Robinson. She’s made up dances for your songs, and you’re going to have to learn them. So relax for the rest of the day. You too Ab’s.”

“I will, don’t worry.” We all left the conference room, and headed home. Ab’s was staying with Kev, Brian and Howie. They offerd, they didn’t want her staying at a hotel. But none of us could tell Donna, she’d have our heads...

--------------------
Kevin
--------------------

We told Donna that we were driving Abigail to her hotel, but we’re really bringing her to our place. I hate lying to Donna, but I didn’t want Abigail to be all alone in a hotel again. She’ll proboly end up sleeping on our couch, she picked that spot. We all offered to give up our beds, but she wouldn’t let us. I’m bringing Abigail over in my car, while Howie and my cusin go and get some food. I opend the door, and let her into our, uh, semmi cleaned apartement.

“I hope you don’t mind the mess. We don’t really keep it that clean. Howie and I try to, but with Brian around... It’s quite a challenge...” I said.

“Oh, don’t worry about it. I’m used to it. Back at home, I never really cleaned up. Every now and then I would, but I haven’t been home for so long...” She put her bag down next to the couch, and she sat down.

“Would you like something to drink or eat or something?” I asked.

“No, I’m fine. Mind if I watch some t.v.?”

“Not at all. Make yourself at home. I’m just going to go take a fast shower. The fridhe is over there if you get hungry, and there’s food in the cupboards. Feel free to take as you wish.”

“Okay. Thanks.” She turned to the tv, and began to flick the channels. I headed up for my very needed shower.

I got into my room, and got a change of clothes for when I get out of the shower. I headed down the hall to the washroom, thinking. I closed the door behind me, and locked it. Don’t want any unfortunate surprises... I turned on the shower and adjusted the temperature, just the way I like it, and got ready. I got in and let the semi-cold water hit my head. I sighed. This is nice. A nice cool shower on a nice hot day... Suddenly, some thoughts creapt into my head. I wonder what Ab’s is going to be doing for us on tour. Make-up? Clothing? I wonder what Donna had in mind for her...

--------------------
Howie
--------------------

Brian and I went to our local grocery store, and got the major essentials. Well, our usual. Meat, salad stuff, some fruits, some veggies, my Vinager and Salt chips, and once again, ugh, Kraft dinner... I seriously am getting sick of that stuff... I don’t know how Brian can eat that so often... We got back to the house, and found Ab’s sitting on our couch, watching some music channel, singing along to a song. She didn’t notice us come in, because she kept on singing. Brian made ourselves noticed though.

“You have a really nice voice...” He said, startling her completely.

“Hun? Wha? Oh, you guys are back... Uh... Thanks...” She seemed a little embaressed.

“I didn’t mean to scare you...” Brian excused himself.

“It’s okay. Um, how much of me... Did you actually hear?” Her cheeks turned slightly pink.

“Not that much, but enough...” I said. She fell onto the couch, and coverd her face with a pillow. Brian and I put the bags on the table, and emptied them. He grabbed the box of KD, and began to open it.

“Brian, please, not again. How do you always seem to be able to eat that stuff. You know you’re going to get sick soon...” I comented. He ate this stuff 24/7.

“Me, get sick of this stuff? Are you crazy? This stuff will always have a place in my heart, well, in my stomach at least.” Ab’s had over heard our little conversation, and came to see what we were talking about. She looked through our shopping bags.

“What are you guys making? Need any help?” She asked as she unpacked a few of the bags.

“Well, Chef Brian over there is making his Kraft dinner, once again. I was planing on making a salad or something...” She took the empty bags and foled them, placing them all on the counter, neatly.

“I can help with the salad. It’s the least I can do. Where do you guys put your vegetables?” She asked, holding up the tomatoes and carrots we bought.

“In the fridge, but leave out a tomatoe for the salad.” I told her.

The three of us made dinner, and Kevin eventually came down, and ate supper with us. After that, Ab’s and Kevin did the dishes, while Brian and I got a movie set up. We all sat on the couches and floor, and watched a movie. Actually, we watched two. Then Kevin and I decided to go to bed, since we were getting tierd. Brian and Ab’s watched Jay Leno.
