Visit my Oncologic Pathology Internet Resources web page. Oncology is the medical discipline that deals with the treatment and management of malignant tumors and other neoplasms. I have put together online resources covering this medical specialty as well as pathology and oncopathology related online resources. This web site is intended for the health professional and students in radiation therapy programs. However, the lay person can find information of a general nature on these web links. Dublin, Texas - Population 3250 : World Championship Rodeo Home and Headquarters from 1939 - 1959. Annual events: St. Patrick's Festival in March, Dr. Pepper Festival in June. Dublin is the birthplace of Professional golfer Ben Hogen. Dublin is 72 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
Dublin may be the birthplace of a famous golfer, but not the rodeo. That distinction goes to Pecos, Texas "Home of the World's First Rodeo and the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame". Pecos is located between Midland-Odessa and El Paso. If you like celebrating the Fourth of July Texas style, then head out to Pecos in west Texas. By the way, Pecos is pronounced "Pay-cuss". Have fun at the rodeo and be sure to visit the Hall of Fame before you head back to the city.
Wait! Before you head back home why not check out the Marfa Lights . Marfa is located about 400 miles west of San Antonio on Interstate 10. The official Marfa Lights viewing area is nine miles east of town on US Hwy 90. The Marfa Ghost Lights have appeared since the 1880s. No trip to the Big Bend country is complete without a trip to see the mysterious desert lights near Marfa.
Bluebirds in flight across the Texas prairie grasslands is a wonderful sight to behold. Nowhere else in The Lone Star State will you find more bluebirds than in Wills Point, the Bluebird Capital of Texas . The Bluebird Festival, which will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2002, has something for the whole family. Wills Point is located about 50 miles east of Dallas on old highway 80 and 45 miles west of Tyler.
Jefferson, TX has managed to retain that Old South charm. Here you will find antebellum mansions and more that 60 bed breakfasts. The Texas History Museum offers a unique insight into the early Republic day's of Texas. Jefferson is 170 miles east of Dallas.
Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum , Schulenburg, Texas. The Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum features interactive exhibits and over 30 static displays that capture the thrill, excitement, and history of model aircraft.
