Family Day's first day out

Well, the inaugurational gig for the Family Day
compilation didnt happen at Cherating, as planned
originally, and Bob (the main guy from Posse Records)
decided to arrange a smaller, more personal launch
at Timun Drive, in Ampang. The instruments and the
equipment were provided, as it is a tradition in
Timun Drive's gigs, by Jeffrey (Prana's drums) and
everything was set up to let most of the bands in the
compilation play. The turnup wasnt too big (the flyer
was released in small amounts and late..) and there
were some press people among the crowd.
All the bands performed the song they recorded in the
compilation, plus a few others and by night-time
the noise was coming to an end..nothing really eventful,
aside from the poor sound quality we all got and the
sour aftertaste of a rather bad gig..oh well. There
was another gig going on in Heaven Studios, a block
away and some of our friends were hanging out there and
having some drinks at the restaurant across the street.
I think thats about it, really! After the gig everyone
wasnt feeling very talkative and we all went back to
our respective lives..sounds pretty boring huh? Yeh,
it pretty much was..hehe..aaanyways, it should have
been much better, for a release of a compilation..
but its alright, Posse Records has lots of plans for
the promotion of the record in the near future,
I just hope they do it wisely! On for the next
adventure, we say!
END!

go back.
