Sunway College's Independence Day Gig
For some reason I still ignore,
Sunway college organised this party
festival where a big mix of styles
and tastes would combine to give the
people that assisted a great time.
Anyways, the whole thing started
with a really cool malay young guys
band, called Innocent Criminal (they
were not really sure of this name, since
they were just friends jamming for the
fun of it). As I was saying, they played
really nice songs! Im talking about that
theme from Pulp Fiction movie, some surf
rock and a slow 60s song jizzed up with
distortion! I really liked their style!
Between bands there were short performances,
(a chinese boy band, a japanese girl dance
group lots of rapping and R&B DJs and even
live rappers) Soon after Lyme came up and
did three songs in one short set, which
opened with Size does matter, catching the
attention of the audience, majority of it
being adults. Right after, a switch to
Hunger to rule told people Lyme didnt only
play funk and finally closing up with
Something (thats the name of the song) which
left the audience in awe with the band's
psychotic track. After that, a little more
Hip-Hop, again the first band, then Lyme had
a chance to perform Rage's song, Bullet in
the head when it was finishing time for it all,
not before the performance of death-metal
(yes, even death metal!) band 'Satan'. All in
all, a day for people who enjoy all sorts of
music. And then it was over. END.
