The LagoonPalooza Festival

The biggest gig ever played by Lyme. The 
nearly 3000 people who assisted to watch 
play the really amazing 15 bands in the list
left with a good story to tell their friends,
I bet. At least I will have a lot to tell!
The stage was impressive, with an incredible 
amplification firepower, together with the
great work from every one responsible for it.
The sound check was the day before the gig, 
and it took a long time before the band could
check their sound. Rewarding it was though,
since the next day Lyme had the task of 
opening the festival (!) around 1 in the 
afternoon, under the huge amphitheatre dome 
in Sunway Lagoon waterpark.
People were still arriving at the time, 
some of them missing the band's presentation. 
Nevertheless, the following bands were simply
breathtaking, with the likes of Sputum and 
Metalasia for the speed metal lovers, Carbon
13 and Koffin Kanser for the hardcore lovers..
Butterfingers displaying their excellent music
from their new album...ACAB, Groundrule and 
the Official with their beautiful melodical 
punk/oi tunes..projekt AK...Social Cure..
Subculture...The pilgrims...some amazing hardcore
cyberpunk from Wavefront and even easy going 
radio friendly music from OAG! You had almost 
every taste of music in the fest. 
Lyme's appearance was brief but rewarding. The 
five-song set made started heavily "to break the
ice" with Hunger to Rule, which received ovation 
at the time the computer was used for the interlude!
Followed up by Nothing and Uneasy, shifting to 
the jumpier tone of Size does matter and finally
closing up with the band's newest song, titled 
Something, which received a great feedback from the
growing crowd. Lyme stayed back after their show
to enjoy the moshing (there was moshing, and pretty
big, in fact!) until all the bands were done..!
