Heaven Studio's Star Search at MPAJ
This was Lyme's first real "public" appearance. Located in an open
theatre in the MPAJ building, the show had a performace of nearly
twenty bands, ranging from pop rock to metal to punk. There was an
early afternoon sound-test, where Lyme covered Korn's Blind.
The instruments Lyme used that night were the ones provided by Heaven
Studio. (Heck, our only true possession was the Wah pedal, which is
not even entirely ours!) There was quite a large show-up of people
(around 70-100 at one time), and the seats (or big steps, depending
on how you look at it) were all occupied.
Lyme was the fourth band to play. We opened with the non-aggressive,
funky version of "Size does matter". After a satisfying response from
the public for our original, we continued and closed covering
Rage Against the Machine's Bullet in the Head, receiving a surprisingly
bigger ovation from the public, which sent us home happy and satisfied.
Later that night, Lyme's brother band, Hard Knox, played two original
songs, featuring their (by then) new frontman, Raj.
A video was recorded for both performances, so picture captures from
it should be available soon.
