Time Stands Still The flowers stand listless in the Summer grass butterflies spread their wings as hummingbirds pass. Blossoms fold in their cups praying for the rain crickets sing their song; water to sustain. The soft tunes of Summer when time stands so still the call of the songbirds, a lone whippoorwill. The beauty of nature within each season gives a purpose for life... living, the reason. ©Marie Calhoun
