The United States Marine Corps was created on November 10 1775 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in a small tavern named Tun Tavern.
Marines go through boot camp(basic training) at one of two places,Parris Island South Carolina or MCRD San Diego California,Marine boot camp is tough and long (16 weeks).
After boot camp you are sent to MCT (Marine Combat Training)More fun and games but you get to fire more weapons and now get liberty!!!After completion of MCT you are off to MOS school (military occupational specialty).
This MOS will be your job while in the Marines.After MOS school you go to a fleet Marine unit and the start of your Marine Corps life!!!
