bookmarks.

oz1> If you go to Edit Bookmarks you will see all of
them.

oz1> Open each folder and what is in each one will
show.

oz1> Right click on the one you want to move.

oz1> Read the options there. You can delete, cut and
paste or copy and paste.

oz1> You can move to a different folder or just move
to a different spot in the same folder.

oz1> Just highlight where you want it, Right click
and paste it there.

oz1> Check out all the things you can do with the
right click. You can rename them too.

Peggy> I have a problem. First I get the bookmarks
initially installed. At the end of those are more
bookmarks headed by "____'s bookmarks. There are
duplications.

candyman1> I know I have some without names

oz1> Hang on a sec.

candyman1> you can delele the dups

oz1> I guess on the ones without names you can open
it and see what it is and then go to Bookmark
Properties and give it a name.

candyman1> but be careful , once you click delete
they are gone

candyman1> there is no warning
oz1> What you need to do Peggy is Make Folders that
are what you want them to be called.
You don't have to keep the bookmarks that came
with the program.

oz1> Just take a few at a time and put them where
you want them and delete the ones that don't
interest you.

oz1> I have not done this but I think if you end up
with an empty folder it could be deleted too.

different list of bookmarks is altogether

oz1> I have only one list that I know of.

the work that they do

oz1> While talking to eagel the other night I found
out that if you rename the bookmarks on your
personal tool bar you can make them smaller and
get more on there.

oz1> Peggy-I think I know what you are talking about

eagel> I usually always get the pluging that might
be needed to run a program One example is to hear
some of the music I play you have to have netshow

oz1> When you bring up your bookmarks there are some
with black arrows beside them. Right

That one comes with IE automatically but
several people dont have IE do they have to get
the sound player plugin

oz1> I think it comes with the new netscape now.

oz1> Peggy-if there is an arrow that means that
there are more bookmarks under that catagory.

oz1> If there is no arrow it is only one bookmark.

oz1> Peggy- if you do Control B you will see all of
your bookmarks. Take a look.

oz1> The bookmarks that have other bookmarks in them
have a small + beside them.

Peggy> Conrol B doesn't do it. But I can click on
bookmarks and see them all at this time

eagel> I have creshendo players on my pages

candyman1> I do not

oz1> You don't have to have creshendo to hear them
though.

candyman1> is it better than real player?

eagel> no you can use anything to hear them

eagel> Do you all near the music when you go to
Eagels Nest?

eagel> Or are you given the option to load the
player to hear them

oz1> I do and I like it that you change in on
occasion.

days LOL I must have hundreds.

oz1> No-not yet. I have moved quite a few around
though.

oz1> You can drag the folders to other locations too.

eagel> The only way I can organize mine now is to
start all over

oz1> Just take one folder at a time. Maybe make a
holding folder and go from there.

After this ternm is over that is what I am
going to do Any thing that isnt in a folder is
getting dumped

bookmarks if you start all over again

just have to learn to take the time and file it
right the first time

oz1> I seldom use the folders that came with
netscape. I have made my own.

Peggy> Well - that solves the problem.

candyman1> Consider it a puzzle and out the pieces
together

eagel> Ithe first thing I did was put all the ones
that came on puter into one folder

oz1> If you open a folder and just click and drag it
is easy to move them around.

oz1> My kids have added a lot of bookmarks that I
didn't know about.

eagel> yes it is easy enough to move them around it
is the seeing what they all are that will take time

candyman1> oz needs to put in a password !

oz1> They have their own computers now. No need for
that.

oz1> I would like to know how to get my MSIE
bookmarks into the Netscape bookmarks.

think I have mine the other way around The net

candyman1> can't you transfer them to a floppy and
then the floppy to netscape

Jayne> before i d/l communicator i saved my
bookmarks and addys, in a temp file..but now can
can i delete some of the bookmarks from that temp
file when i don't have an edit now and i tried
highlighting and rt click and nothing.

oz1> If you can see them in the temp file you should
be able to delete them.

Jayne> just a sec and il try again

candyman2> You can also delete thim through explorer

Jayne> no i go in through explorer and when u click
there is no delete,

cut in edit

oz1> If you highlight something and use delete it
will ask if you want it sent to trash.

candyman> and in explorer you can do a bunch at once

Jayne> well , im in explorer with the b/m in front
of me when u right click there is no delete in the
popup screen

candyman> just hilight the ones you want to delete
and delete all at once

candyman> in window 95?

oz1> If you hold down control while highlighting it
will select all you click on.

Jayne> even when u highlight there is no delete,,
Bnow theses are b/m's from netscape 3.0..

oz1> Try moving them into the file with your other
bookmarks.

bookmarks while we talk.

eagel> I have this window and an ICQ class chat and
2 netscapes and bookmarks and explorer all at once
and working on all at once

eagel> The ICQ screen is just too big though

eagel> I really don't see how people can like ICQ
over irc

Jayne> well i have no probs with deleteing them from
the communicator bookmarks but il have to bring
the ones in temp into communicator and then that
may work

I think mine are automatically picked up by IE but
