<DustyRose> First question...A friend was trying to chat with me on ICQ and I was online and visible (green flower) but the chat kept saying it was cancelled because it was sent when I was away but I was not away

<Blossom^> if you both talk frequently....it would be a good idea to check in your Alert modes that you will accept chat requests in the Away mode
<DustyRose> Next question....another friend logged on and I got a chat request from her.  I answered and started talking--she says that when she pulled up ICQ it just automatically somehow started a chat with me and that she did not send it

<brick> I've got a question about the chatscreens;  you can only, it seems, make alterations to font, colour . . . etc. when you have the screens up in front of you, i.e. when you are chatting to someone.  Can they not be altered when you are not in chat mode?

<kayroller> Blossom my question is I have run to several people who have not up graded their ICQ and you can't message them, and some of them are students in ICQ now, how can we get them to up grade their ICQ??

<Blossom^> You appear to be in IRC mode......but you're not really........it's just a Style of window that you choose in ICQ
<Blossom^> choose Layout     and choose IRC style............
<Blossom^> when you are in a chat mode in ICQ

<Ghatten> They can see everything you type even before you hit enter
