<z-eaglesct> to notify you of mail it checks the pop server to send it used 
the smtp server which are 2 differnt fileds so check what is in your smtp field

<Jayne> i even called sympatico to check to see if SMTP was right
<Jayne> i can send through netscape  but when i went to send icq through
 the system it tells me my smtp is wrong but then when i okay it ,,it tells
 me that it was completed successfull.

<Ghatten> Look in Netscape to see what the outgoing server fof your
 email is...

<Ghatten> The only thing I found obscure about their instructions was 
that it did not prompt me to add my user name when putting in my 
email address....it just said @earthlink.net
<Ghatten> and I had to fill in the full thing
<Ghatten> I also filled in the two email servers fully

<Ghatten> I don't know.  If you got the incoming and outgoing servers 
correct....then it should work.

 down a little to a lot

 ICQ servers. check ur SMTP server name in the email tab in icq pref.

 server filled in though
<Otter> I don't use ICQ email -- but it sounds like it needs to be set 
as the "default" email program!
