I plan on using it on my web pages How? when I learn it all the way and know what I am doing VB is primarily for programming in Windows, but it has the capabilities to create ActiveX controls for use on webpages ... probably about the time I get my stupid scuba page going:) and I laughed at the beginning of term and thought I would know what you were talking about in those first logs but I am still laughing Not so hard but still laughing I also am planning on using VB to reprogram the inventory and such on my business So after I learn this I have to go pull that Active X book off the shelf and learn that? Isn't ActiveX still real 'crashy" to web browsers, esp. the 3.os? Not sure, Pala! We had an activeX control/command on the web site & it brought IE 3.0s to their knees. But, I know next to nothing about ActiveX. Same here .... I have never used it .... I use FrontPage98 as a fast, quick way to HTML code & it can I'm still a diehard NotePad user for html .... do al sorts of bells & whilstles in ActiveX, but you need the MS server extensions to make them work. I make all of my students learn html that way ..... All of my Internet 101 students, that is ... Ok maybe that is the trick I havent tried to do this page in an editor yet I think I will go try it in Publisher since thats what I know best. It is a page totally of graphics and I am having a bear of a time getting them to layout correctly As for why I took VB, I think in the back of my mind it *was* for web me too pala cool, eagle It is becoming more that way .... Now, how to keep that study group going this summer? Accept someone starting from Chaper 1? I thought I could use it to make lists to chose from when a fish on my page was clicked on.
