Olsen Twins On Surfing Safari!

Globe's eagle-eyed photo caught up with the giggly 11-year-old girls at Will Rogers State Beach near Santa Monica, California, where they were waxing up their matching surfboards for a day of hanging 20.

"The water was freezing cold, but they didn't seem to mind," says an eyewitness.

"They were just running around in the ocean, being kids."

Since their hit sitcom Full House went off the air in 1995, the tiny tycoons-who live with in southern California with their mom - have been busier than ever. In 1993, they inked a reported $20 million development deal with ABC.

They'll soon star in a new ABC sitcom playing twins living with their college professor dad.

It's described as an updated version of the 1961 movie The Parent Trap.

But they're still just little girls at heart.

"Ashley and Mary-Kate seem totally unaffected by their celebrity," adds the eyewitness, who watched them romp in the surf.

"All the fame and fortune hasn't gone to their heads."

"They don't seem the least bit competitive and really seem to enjoy each other's company.

"If you didn't recognize them, you'd never think they were stars."
